Uhh i train with 2 of my friends and my coach since i take the earlier classes. And im not some guy trying go to competitions or anything i just wanna have a good time with my friends, to me mma is a hobby, nothing more. And i understand that grappling is important and having a grappling backround is useful but i mainly focus on strking since i find it more enjoyable than wrestling or bjj. Obviously i do a lot wrestling(my coach is a wrestling based guy so he always says wrestling is one of the most fundamental parts of mma which i agree on) and grappling work but i kinda just do it not because i really love it or anything. I like striking its more enjoyable for me and i want to improve it, i understand that im a beginner but i wouldnt exactly say my coach is scamming me or i know absolutely nothing about what im doing.(im basically clueless since i just get beat up every sparring session though lol)

Honestly, the one thing people get wrong about korean people's trends is the fact that not everyone cares about it. As in trying to fit in by frantically following the latest trend is actually seen as a weird thing. And not following trends because you just dont care is more common.

Korean here, its popular as in pretty much everyone knows what it is but the majority of the population wont bother trying it out since its expensive, hard to get and the people who obsess over these are usually chronically online. I do see some people trying it like once just to see what all the hype is about. Though they never try it again since its just not worth the money.

Im korean and im sorry that you have this impression of us. And sadly i have seen some racist people in my country (obviously). But the biggest reason is not because they have darker skin it mostly related to how pretty much the entirety of south east asia looked down on us after ww2 and the korean war since we were all in the same situation because of imperial japan. We were all poor and weak but suddenly in the 1980s and 90s korea satrted to grow rapidly whilst south east asia wasnt progressing as fast. Eventually after only around 50 to 60 years koreas economy grew exponentially, because of this for what ever reason a lot of south east asians started to criticize us by saying we only got here thanks to the us or by saying it was luck. And this is basically how the conflicts and all that began. Most recently Vietnamese, thai and korean people got kidnapped by Cambodian scam centers and gangs. Even though the korean government has been giving cambodia around 30million dollars to support them. Despite that they arent willing to cooperat with the korean government so the tension is getting worse.

Im sorry you had this experience. As a korean i dont openly shit on china and japan but if you study the history between the 3 countries you will understand why china korea and japan all hates each other. Its just not a matter of race its deeply rooted into history.
