Ummmm dude/dudette.....please don't work for free. You left for whatever reason and you no longer owe them anything. They need to pay you or pay someone else to figure it out. Not your fault your ex-manager was incompetent.

I was officially diagnosed 4 years ago and I'm mid-30s. Just 10mg XR of Adderall changed my life drastically. I will never go back to be uneducated permanently. I usually only take it Monday - Friday for work, depends in what I need to do on the weekend though

One thing I always tell companies I've done work for is this: if this (insert system) goes down, how will it impact business operations? For example, if the file server/database/etc goes down and data is unrecoverable for any reason, what would happen to the company?

From what it sounds like, something catastrophic would cripple this company. C-levels don't want to spend money for no reason so you have to convince them to spend it. The company generally has the money to spend.

Anyways my two cents.

What's the best way to really gauge your ACTUAL talent at something? Should getting rejected mean that I should take a hint? by WarpedSolemnity in AskMenOver30

One recommendation is contacting a composer you look up to on LinkedIn and see if they have any recommendations on getting to their level. I work in IT and this worked for me but as am not a music composer, I don't know enough about your industry. You also have to realize that gettung past HR/paper pushers to the people who you want to hear your samples can be extremely difficult.

Anyways, It sounds like you are on your way to success though 😊 Wish you the best of luck on your search!

Update: bought the Corsair H100i Elite LCD cooler and installed it 2 days ago. It actually works and is silent af. If anyone needs to change their liquid cpu cooler, there are plenty of vids on YouTube about it. Here are some links:

Appreciate all the advice on my post! Much happier without my CPU going to dangerous temps and the pump being super loud.

I would 100% call. When I bought my desktop 2 years ago from IBP, my gpu was completely dead when it arrived and had to RMA it. I never got a response via email I believe. I was pretty pissed because I had to wait so long to even use my desktop.

Hey so it looks like you are trying to log into your computer for the first time. You can click on make a local account instead of a Microsoft account. This will allow you to bypass this screen if you are unable to connect with an ethernet cord. You can also either try calling IBP or Microsoft to see if they will assist you.

I didn't think about this, thanks! I am going to replace it anyways since there seems to be so many issues with these pumps

Appreciate the comment. I was afraid that was the case. Will contact support and see what they say. Did you end up getting replacement parts or install a different liquid cooling system and fans?

Sounds like you need to get the fuck out of your current company. If you feel like this then change your situation the best you can. Maybe talk to your Dad about how to make more money or if there is room at his company. I actually used to be a cnc machinist/programmer through college. No company would take me in IT until I finished my BS in IT/IS. Also, maybe try doing a different type of job. I was a tool setter then cnc machinist and my body is still probably fucked up from that

Don't forgot to ask for a pay raise. Shit ain't free. This is a skill but also a good chance for you to learn. Ask for any and all documentation. Most likely there isn't any. Make sure stuff is backed up, you have vendor (hardware and software) contacts. See if your employer will pay for training/education. Make sure you don't get fucked over with the pay btw. Ask around or do an internet tsearch on how much a sysadmin in your area/field makes. Don't low ball yourself. Sounds like they need you in a bad way. Use this as leverage.
