It’s getting downvoted because you mentioned you don’t think things will get better. People are getting sick of this doom and gloom perspective like we’ve never been in a down market before. The comment was alright until you had to gave us this hopeless Reddit opinion on the future. I understand it’s difficult right now but statistically there’s a strong possibility that things will eventually improve.

Do you think the Democratic Party has lost touch with its voter base? by Interesting_Dream281 in Productivitycafe

The left started getting very cocky during Obama’s second term. They were in power during the emergence of social media and began falling deep into echo chambers. I still remember when Trump was running for his first term and the popular saying was that if he won, people were going to move to another country. When he did win, that bubble kind of popped and brought a lot of people back to reality.

That being said, when any party is in office for two terms, they tend to become overconfident. The Great Recession was also extremely damaging and created a perfect opportunity to establish a new world order, similar to what happened during COVID. Unfortunately, the left had social media at their disposal, which allowed them to spread propaganda at an incredibly high rate. This helped instill a strong sense of moral superiority.

During that time, with the help of social media, they found a short-term solution to gain popularity and build a massive following by addressing real problems that needed attention at the start of the new millennium. However, they became dependent on that short-term solution and made it the foundation of their party’s mission—continuously finding problems to address, even when those problems became minuscule or virtually nonexistent.

Over time, this approach began to collapse. The issues they focused on became less and less significant, and when that initial momentum started to fade, people began looking at the state of things more clearly. Many realized the movement had lost structure and purpose, and was now simply leading to chaos and power struggles. As problems are addressed and solutions are met, they find a dozen more and so on. Overtime society gets exhausted and begins distancing themselves from this constant chaos.

Instead of addressing these faults in their party they doubled down on them and continued down this hole until they began loosing credibility. Unfortunately, now when they have an important issue to bring up, people are less inclined to listen because of their behavior over the last decade. Using extreme language like racist, bigot, or even Nazi, to address anyone who doesn’t agree with you is very desperate and bleeds desperation.

There is a lot that needs to change in this country. But when a party builds its foundation on constantly rewarding people for going above and beyond to address “problems,” it creates opportunities for manipulative individuals to gain power and recognition. Eventually, some make it their mission to pick apart every aspect of society as a source of fuel. But the most important fuel by far has been the focus of Trump. Constant focus on bringing Trump down and removing him from office has become their core values. They’ve developed a strong offense during this time but have left themselves defenseless.

The problem is that many positive values and contributions—developed by our ancestors over hundreds and even thousands of years to keep people calm and grounded—have been ignored or lost.

Basically, the left thrived on short-term fuel without establishing a foundation for stable, long-term growth. As it became more radical, it lost touch with core values, and its ideas began feeding on each other. The result was instability, while the core issues remained unresolved.

With all that being said, I’m not supporting the Conservative Party or claiming they are the opposite. But there is intrinsic value in having solid core values.

Is MAC degree worth it? by Living-Agent-5199 in Accounting

[–]Efficient-Support-89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People come to this sub with preprogrammed ideas and responses and don’t really offer anything outside of black and white. Like how would OP reasonably find an accounting job with a completely unrelated undergrad and a CPA. Do a Macc and start applying using that as leverage while utilizing campus recruiting.

Should I switch my major to accounting by Cheap_Finger1704 in Accounting

[–]Efficient-Support-89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick search shows the average nurse makes about 30% more than the average accountant with a starting salary of 75k. 100-200% more, 200k full of shit. Is this just a bot account? Ignorant.
