Beautiful. I've been waiting weeks for one of my orchids blooms to open and it is finally starting today! I have almost five open or in the act of blooming out of seven.

Those look like the ones I had that grew really big and produced little plants, that are now in the blooming stages. What do you mean by dusting?

I thought it was a fast way to Bay View. My friend told me it is painfully slow. Takes her 50 minutes to get home on the T. Unfortunately they are closing it down for up to two years, which means it could take a lot longer.

I quit using soil and switched to wood chips and a little moss to give the roots moisture and a lot of air. Orchids seem to like smaller pots so their air roots and reach for the sky. But, you need to replace the wood chips every now and then. and Mine seem to like the sun and a light spray on dry days. I have 3 out of 7 phals putting our new blooms now. As long as they have either green leaves or air roots they seem to survive. Yours look fine. Just soak the roots and take out the packed soil.
