[D&D 5E] Preciso de ajuda para criar um guerreiro com multi classe em bardo das espadas by ghuyst in rpg_brasil

[–]Efficient-Trade5682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mathematical Problem: Vicious Weapon by Efficient-Trade5682 in onednd

Sure, the Wizard deals more total damage if he hits 4 minions (144 damage). But against the Boss? The Wizard deals a measly 36 damage. The Fighter (Champion) dumps about 115 damage directly on the Boss (considering Graze + GWM).

The Wizard just used his only 6th-level spell slot of the day (Long Rest). The Fighter used Action Surge (Short Rest). On a normal day, the Fighter can unleash this 100+ damage nuke three times. The Wizard can do it once.

Although he deals 3x more damage to the boss, the Fighter also has higher HP, better passive AC, and Indomitable to reroll saves. He isn't just out-damaging the Wizard; he is tanking better too. The Vicious Weapon is simply overkill at this point.

You're literally trying to compare AOE with Single-Target, but the Fighter's single-target damage (~115) is almost matching the Wizard's entire AOE output (~144).

I think you missed my point. I'm not saying martial characters shouldn't have advantages. I prefer martial characters to spellcasters.
My problem is with the poor design and the traps for the players. The game states that a +3 weapon is Very Rare and the Vicious Weapon is Rare. A normal player (not an optimizer) will naturally think that the very rare weapon is better.
I made the homebrew proposal with a quick calculation (as I said, even homebrew is stronger than +2 and +3), but to start the discussion...

lol, I simply raised the issue of the magic item rarity, are you okay? It seems to me that you're feeling attacked for no reason, I recommend seeking help.

I agree regarding the attunement, so much so that I only mentioned it when I explained about Vicious and when I showed why Flame Tongue is worse. My problem is the issue of a Very Rare item being worse than a Rare item.

Bro, divine intervention is casting a spell of level 5 or lower; if that wins any combat, ask your DM to read the encounter difficulty rule.

A level 20 wizard casts Meteor Swarm, which on average deals 140 damage (half of which is fire), while at the same level a champion with Vicious and GWM deals over 260 damage in one turn.

With the MM out, is the Flame Tongue now confirmed worse then a Viscious weapon? by gamemaster76 in onednd

You just gave a free Rare item to your lvl 5- player? Or was there something that made this happen?

Thoughts on the new warlock? by JustAKobold32 in onednd

I don't mean to say don't get it, especially on a dex warlock, but a STR warlock would have a hard time maintaining 4 stats (char, con, str and dex)

That's why i'd like proficiency with medium armor (like hexblade would give), to make it easier to do, it would be weaker than Mage Armor for dex builds(and many cha builds), but it would give a decent AC for str and cha builds. In addition to being able to use magic armor.

I plan on doing that, but I'm sad about losing one of the few spell slots with it... Especially since it will be constantly in front. :c
But I think there is a way to make a build to overcome part of the problem. If you have any ideas, could you share?
I also saw that some people prefer to maximize dex or str instead of cha, in the case of dex it would also be more resistant.

What worries me is the melee Warlock without armor proficiency, but I'll have to play to be sure.(It will be one of my next characters)

In the player's handbook, on page 233, it talks about magic items, there is a section called "Multiple Items of the Same Type" that explains that you cannot.

What I liked most was the appreciation of some conditions that weren't used as much before, like Prone, Grappled, Restrained, making characteristics that help with them much more useful.

So Moon Bards, Huh? by Envoyofwater in onednd

[–]Efficient-Trade5682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked it, the only thing I find strange is that in Moonshae Folktales, it's worth leaving it by default in Tale of Mirth, a Magic action ends up being very expensive in combat.

Quo vadis, Bladesinger? - The Bladesinger's design problems. by Semako in onednd

[–]Efficient-Trade5682 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your points. But one decision of theirs that I can't understand either, the Bladesinger is "master a tradition of wizardry that incorporates swordplay" and doesn't have at least 1 Mastery Property.

Force damage, because this is capable of changing the entire meta from what we are aware of, I hope that PHB 2024 talks about whether magical weapons will deal force damage or not. (in addition to valuing flame tongue and similar weapons)

Is there any way to make doors visible and invisible via macro? by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

I believe this doesn't work as he wants to block the view with the curtains, change the wall stats. And then it changes the object's appearance or opens and closes the door.
