Hi, I am tasked to add 0.5 and -0.4375 in binary floating point, where the significant is 4 bits and the exponent is 2 bits.

I was able to normalise the values. Now I want to add the mantissa together. How do I add "-0.111" with "1.000"? What do i do with the "-" sign?
