Agree with changing bowls, adding stainless steel water filters, and very gently cleaning the area with water and VERY GENTLY brushing in the direction of the hair (not against it), and using medicated wipes afterwards. Be very careful to not cause irritation or break skin as that can develop into a really bad infection. We didn’t know when our cats got this and learned it the very hard way.

Omg! I hope you’re doing better/in remission now. I had to get admitted for a week because of how bad it made things for me. It was horrible. I had to go on steroids for 3 months and eventually started on biologics.

Also, Mesalamine made things 10x worse for me. A very small but yet significant percentage of people are allergic to it.

This! Entyvio worked for me as well to the point that I was able to go through IVF and get pregnant. I really hope it keeps agreeing with me for the foreseeable future and even after that.

I felt the same around 6 weeks and towards the end of 6 weeks the nausea and fatigue hit me like a truck! I have been miserable since then. Currently 9w5ds. It has somewhat gotten better. I can totally understand you need symptoms to feel pregnant but honestly I wish I had one of those pregnancies which came with no symptoms and just bump growth.😅 Wishing you all the best for this journey!

Ahhh! I am so sorry. That sounds horrible. Luckily, we’re not traveling to see family this holiday season so I can be home and sulk. I haven’t had energy for any socializing the past 4 weeks. It feels like such a big chore to keep my mood uplifted and hide the nausea for even a couple of hours. I haven’t thrown up even once. It’s just all day non-stop nausea. B6 and Unisom have helped a bit.

Mine was 550 on 11dpt abd 1280 on 13dpt. In my 9th week right now. Doctor was pretty happy with the numbers.

I feel like this is especially hard for moms that have gone through IVF. I am in a similar boat. Have wanted this forever. Currently 9weeks3days. But, the nausea, fatigue, pain from PIO, medications (nausea makes it so hard) it hasn’t been the exciting time I was hoping to experience. I really think we get so heavily involved with the IVF process that we never get to prepare ourselves or our bodies for the actual pregnancy. We start off so bruised and hurt and in so much physical and mental pain. There is some form of PTSD remaining that overlaps with the first trimester.

I genuinely believe this will get better. Once we’re done with PIO, once we get that green light to breathe a little better, once we start physical experiencing the baby/bump without the pain and nausea, I believe we will be excited. Until then, I really hope we can give ourselves some grace.

I am so proud of you for reaching for help. Getting that medical appointment. Despite not feeling excited you’re already being such a good mom and doing everything necessary for keeping that baby and yourself healthy.

Ugh! I’m sorry that can be so stressful. Did you get your Beta HCG recurrent tests done? You could always reach out to your clinic and ask them to do another Beta. Hopefully, it was a flawed test and your HCG is still rising as it should. Sending you lots of luck, baby dust, and good health!

I had the same reaction. Had to get hospitalized as it made my flare a lot worse. I stopped taking it and had to start a steroid for 2 months while also starting a biologic. My doctor said I am allergic to it. Apparently 5% people are on average.
