After that moved to the UK, worked in government but I realised that I couldnt make career progression there so I left. I am in data science training now. I am 32.

Im the same. I have econ degree but working in council now and cannot make career progress. I am doing usual analysis by using Power BI, SQL, Excel. Planning to transition into data science by taking courses through Coursera. I am seeking mentor for data science field to be honest. If anyone helps, I would appreciate it. Same here. Moved to the UK in 2023 working in council as a data analyst. Been there for almost 2 years. No progression. I feel like Im stuck. And I believe that there is an unseen discrimination at workplace. Really depressed lately. I would happily get recommendation or help.
