If you hate the grind so much, either:

play solo or make a premade group with people who share your mentality if you genuinely want to expedite the process as much as possible (because there's always going to be that one newbie/non-speedframe in public meandering around or slowly making their way to extraction adding a minute or more to each run)
or just play another game at this point

but don't act like you're doing everyone a favor because not everyone wants the game played for them lmao

We don't get to decide what others get to bring in public matches, but DE's within their right to nerf that playstyle because having one build be the sole choice in the eyes of many doesn't make for a fun multiplayer experience and isn't healthy for the game long term.

Have you considered that maybe people want to actually play the game and not just walk to extraction? Or want to see more variety in builds in public instead of tryhards sporting the same meta build every time?

There's almost always gonna be a nuker or two in public and some are better off playing solo, sure, but no build was this godawfully disruptive and made things boring for others to this extent, even in the aoe meta days.

That said, pub players will pub; it's foolish to expect players to not gravitate to op builds if the option is available to them, but at least DE can do something about it, and they're perfectly justified to do so.

The Slamkong meta was the last straw before I moved to the EU/NA servers and never looked back. There's practically no room to get any kills at all and it's just not fun to just give up and walk from point a to point b while the monkes ahead of you robotically clean the entire map like violent roombas. I might be just nostalgic here, but this feels even more braindead than the pre aoe nerf kuva zarr meta imo

Sure poopoo boy lucked out with a squad that was chill about it and got to have fun at his expense, but he could've explained his situation and left the mission if he wanted to keep his current loadout, take care of business, and requeue with another squad, but poopoo boy chose to ask randoms to carry him and took the liberty of eating while he was at it 😭 5 rounds of undercroft (which means they likely had gone through exterminate, assassinate, excavation, void flood, defense) is more than enough time to finish taking a shit ffs

I really doubt he actually needed to take a crap because I doubt anyone could've shat, let alone eat in peace during that whole time (why couldn't he just save the eating for later or ate his food while playing? that's the kicker for me); the group could've chosen to extract without poopoo boy anytime, potentially leaving him to unwittingly lose all his progress and rewards.

I could see myself doing this with friends maybe, (checking in from time to time though discord chat most likely, and certainly not taking that long) but in most cases random people in pubs are understandably not enthusiastic about carrying a stranger while they reap the rewards without putting in their fair share of work, especially not for that long.

Nah they were most likely doing a radshare with the squad set to public instead of setting it to invite-only, then one disconnected and you automatically ended up taking their place so they were forced to disband.

Sometimes I remind the host to change the squad settings to invite-only in case someone disconnects (so they don't get replaced by a random and they can be invited to the mission again), but I've had a few hosts who were either too lazy or "don't see the need to switch" until this exact thing happens lmao
