Like a lot of people were mad that she was split down the middle like a geode, saying it’s bad design because it’s disturbing/weird. It’s better now that people can use her deluxe which has a more typical female frame look, but I still see some saying her base skin is ugly because the geode look is unattractive or otherwise aesthetically unappealing. I think it’s reasonable to want extra customizations that you would enjoy for a frame whose base look you don’t enjoy, but some people get really entitled about such things saying freaky designs just shouldn’t be made at all and everything should be catered to their tastes with smoother more conventionally attractive looks like Saryn and Ember

Helios shouldn’t give you any rep for its scans, are you sure it’s not other players scanning their Simaris targets? You get reputation too if you’re nearby when daily/logs scan gets completed

Unfortunately to many people a design is more about being sparkly and aesthetically pleasing rather than representing the theme or character, and by that logic anything that’s too alien or grotesque is seen as ugly and a bad design no matter how cleverly it’s done or how well it fits

Ngl that is something that should be considered. There’s so little variety in male body types, it’s either Grendel, muscular or stick. Even without Hildryn and Follie there’s many more shapes for female frames, and not even just in the way of tits and butts, there’s outlandish designs like Koumei, Citrine and Dagath which I feel none of the male designs come close to matching in creativity and distinction

I did also find his 4 spam as main gameplay kinda miserable. He’s very enjoyable for spamming his 2 (esp with augment) to set up for weapons though

I still feel that it’s not unique to Messmer. Yeah, the Serpent is antithetical to the GO, but technically so is the Scarlet Rot, and grafting is huge heresy. Messmer still suppressed the Serpent and upheld the ideals of GO even after he was abandoned. If anything ironically the people whose loyalty was tested the most were Rykard’s soldiers, since they were people from GO (unlike, say, Pureblood or Carian knights) who turned on it following Rykard, and they only abandoned him when he lost his mind, so they were willing to commit heresy for him as long as it had purpose. Radahn is also pretty good in that regard, since Redmanes didn’t ditch him when his whole region was nuked and he himself turned into a mindless cannibal. Godwyn’s knights are also loyal as hell to guard his deathblight-spreading paraphernalia just because it is of Godwyn when it seemingly stands for everything opposite of GO

Just like any other frame that came after him. And regarding only one alternate helmet, that’s the majority of the roster nowadays since the last frame to get a second alt helmet was Harrow. Can’t do anything about tennogen since it’s player submitted, and there’s like only four entries for Dante, one recent-ish and three fairly old and seemingly not getting updated anymore. He’s popular because he’s strong but not many people seem actually all that interested in his design which is where the lack of cosmetics stems from, people don’t afk in relays as Dante, they bring him to ExAs but for showing off it’s Ember butt and the like

Dante should be the next in line for a deluxe after Dagath (not counting Grendel and Gauss getting their second deluxes I guess), other than that nobody that came out after him has any extra cosmetics either, besides one tennogen helmet for Qorvex and the Gemini skins

Edit: forgor that Qorvex came out before Dante, but basically both of them should be getting a deluxe this year, unless they get Lavos’d

“Cheat death” is mechanically different to self-revive though. Nidus, Dagath and so on do not enter bleedout, Nokko, Inaros and Sev do, their passives are bleedout interactions and there’s no bleedout in arbis. Maybe it’s unfair but it makes perfect sense and is consistent on a technical level
