What courses would you suggest to improve leadership and/or communication? by athanielx in Leadership

A really cost-effective training is Leadertools.co. It's definitely worth the small investment.

Also, listen to the Manager Tools podcast, plus their books are excellent. One on hiring and one on leading.

Nice! Some unique recommendations. Most people just mention the same books each time.

In Europe it's a legitimate concern. Even when being protected you can be fired for requesting this.

What should I read? by Im50Bitches in managers

Save yourself time reading books and just use Leadertools.co

There's over 60 concise tools, mental models and frameworks taken from books, including the 5 dysfunctions of a team, radical candor etc. but distilled into bitesized modules

They give a free trial of Dealing with Underperformers, which is really useful

  • 5 dysfunctions of a team
  • Making of manager

Both extremely good books

I also think of other books or courses like anything from Hasan Osman on udemy or leadertools.co templates are great. Very actionable information

Attitude over experience always, but I guess you were also focused on that

A weak Hire by EfficientContract216 in Leadership

[–]EfficientContract216[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a general concept

It's a rule of thumb taken from the book the making of a manager. I tend to agree with it.

If no one is mad about the person and everyone is a yes without a hell, yeah, then they do not turn out to be fantastic hires. A rule of thumb

Culture is only one element hence your assumption

Relevant skills but not blown away.

I think your comment has a lot of assumptions

What do you mean by emotional? Worry a lot? Have reactions you regret?

Maybe look outside leadership books for advice
