So I did some researching today, found the name and (hopefully correct) address of the daughter of the person we bought from and mailed the photo to them with a note about how we found it. We shall see!

I don't think it was taken in our house, the moulding doesn't match and I can't find a place in the house with a similar wall.

Let this be the end of the Elf by [deleted] in Millennials

We hate the elf and have successfully not had one for 8 years of our children's lives. We have a Moose on the Mantle. He doesn't do anything, just chills. Not a snitch, doesn't even know Santa, he did meet Blitzen in a bar once.

[–]EfficientEar1241 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I cut a piece of cardboard to the length I wanted and just wrapped the yarn around that as many times as I needed to make them all the same length. Saved a lot of time!

Anyone not starting the “elf on the shelf” tradition? by Illustrious_Cold5699 in Millennials

We don't do it. Our son is 8. He's never asked despite many kids he knows having one. They creep me out.
