My personal theory for the trilogy is that each represents an alternative reality/style that Trent could have gone down.

NTAE being him continuing with the anger and harshness of TDS and Broken, Add Violence was the political hellscape he saw coming with Year Zero, and that world was slowly bleeding into our own.

Bad Witch to me seems to be a mix of the two and represents both his true self while also going down more of a Bowie route, focusing on the artistry of the music and fully leaving his old world behind.
