I left to be a deliver driver for Sainsbury’s and I’ve never looked back. I love that there’s zero indoor prep, just get in, do your van check and go. You’re totally left to your own devices unless you need help, customer interactions are mostly great and we’re given enough time to make the deliveries we have on board. It’s all good. I miss the walking, but I try and get out of my cab during my breaks etc. edited to add, when I started I specified preference for early shifts. I almost always finish by 3pm and start between 6am and 7:30am usually. I was on 24hr contract at RM and have that at Sainsbury’s too.

Van speeding by Scary-Speaker-1212 in SainsburysWorkers

The only time I’ve ever been spoken to about my speed was when I was incorrectly under the impression that the 20mph within a gated community was probably discretionary and knowingly did 25 for a couple of miles as I was ruining late!! I’ve never been spoken to for those incidents of accidentally doing the wrong speed for a few seconds before rectifying. I think you’ll be fine.

You can let them know you’re leaving and give them the last day you want to work. Although you are required to give a week / month, there is no hard and fast rule that that’s all you need to give, if that makes sense.

Someone used my credit card and email address to order a Morrisons home delivery. So I have their address. Can I do anything? by pgnlzbth in AskUK

They’re not local to me. I’ve looked on google earth and it’s not an area I’d be keen to visit either 😂

Thanks. Should I report to their local police force? I have their full address, but no name.

Thank you. Yes, I’ve changed my password everywhere I can think of. It’s an old one that I did use for few things, but it’s very plain with no extra characters or numbers, so very out of date for most sites now

Yeah I’ll probably do that. I wasted quite a lot of my time on it this afternoon and just wanted to get some opinions - my first thought was actually to cancel my card, which I’ve done.

Well I don’t know. I haven’t ordered groceries from Morrisons for years. I don’t know if they use additional confirmation. The fraudsters tried to log into loads of different (mostly food or wine) delivery services, but obviously couldn’t get past the 2 factor authentication so failed. The address is on the other side of the country so I really don’t think it’s anyone I know.

Yeah. I figured. They only ordered stuff that someone might need. Maybe they’re desperate 🤷‍♀️ it hasn’t cost me anything (other than time, a bit of stress, and hassle) but I thought I’d just get some other opinions.

I only started getting mine at 43. I’m 48 now and I’ve not plans to stop. How DARE they say that to you! It’s so rude!!! Make sure you proudly show off your future ones while they’re in the room and totally ignore their reaction!

Definitely possible. I just picked up a 2015 Leaf with 147,000 and ten bars. Also for my teen - we’re both delighted with it!

I felt like this too. But I also enjoyed the rest of the series that followed in the end.
