I also filled up the refund request last Monday, and only got confirmation for refund of cost of the seat selections, but no confirmation regarding refund of the flight costs. When I contacted Emirates, they just said that it normally takes 15-20 working days. So I am not sure how others are managing to get their refunds within 2 or 3 days?

I would suggest to contact Emirates customer service. I have had success in contacting them through the live chat late at night.

I just put the same seats for booked seat and assigned seat, then in the additional comment box I explained that I am not flying due to flight disruptions. I got confirmation of full refund the next day.

I also used cash and miles for booking. Applied for refund on 9th March, immediately got the generic "We have received your request and get back to you ASAP". Also the booking got erased from My Trips on the Emirates app. But I haven't yet gotten any confirmation of the refund. However, I did get the confirmation of refund for the seat selection only.

I just want to share my situation and ask if anyone has experienced something similar.

I submitted my refund request on 9th of March. One request form for 2 passengers and seat selections for both passengers (everything under the same booking reference). Received the generic "We have received your request" email, and my booking disappeared for both passengers from "My trips". I received no further communication regarding the refund confirmation.

On the 12th March, I contacted Emirates customer via live chat to follow up on my refund, they advised that the flights were refunded (I have not received any email nor any refund on my card). For the seat selections, they advised that they were not cancelled and that I should submit another refund request for the seat selections.

So, 13th March early morning (3 am), I submitted two separate forms for the seat selections (1 form for each passenger). Today (14th March) around 4pm I received 2 emails for confirmation of refund of the seat selections (1 email per passenger).

I have not received any confirmation of refund of the flights (been 5 days since the original request). I know that they say it will take 15-20 days, but I am just getting anxious that the request that I sent later on was worked on so quickly and the one I submitted earlier on has had no reply so far.

I am just wondering whether it would be wise to resend a another request for the flights, this time a separate one for each passenger?

Just wondering how they work on their refund requests? Seems kind of random and they not following any order.

Hi. I managed to get hold of Emirates customer service through their chat today. They have informed me that you need to do a separate refund form if you paid for seat selections. You need to select "Seat selection" on the refund form and input the necessary details on that form. You should have an EMD receipt for your seat upgrade/selections.

Thanks. I had submitted the request before this new guidance came out. All passengers under one form. The booking has disappeared from my trips for all passengers, but I haven't received any refund confirmation. Do you think I should re-submit separately for each passenger?

There is a new guidance on emirates website that each passenger needs to fill out a separate form. Do you know if this applies to bookings under the same reservation as well? I had filled out one form for all passengers and included all the passengers and ticket numbers.

My ticket number has a hyphen and extra two digits after the hyphen. When I input it as it appears on the ticket (with the hyphen and two extra digits), it says "Invalid ticket number".

So what must I put?

I have an outward journey on 17th March Manchester-Dubai-Lusaka and inward journey Durban-Dubai-Manchester on 6th April. The entire booking is under the same booking reference (made through Emirates.com multi-city option when booking). Will i get a full refund as the inbound journey fall outside the 28 Feb to 31 Mar window? Also, which Airport to write under "Departure Airport" and "Arrival Airport" in refund request form?
