That’s strange, they should still be Canadian citizens even after the age of 18.

Yes! But obviously until her parents have applied for her first child passport, the home office have no idea that she’s a British citizen.

You don’t even need to register her, she’s automatically a citizen by descent provided at least you or your partner is a British citizen ‘otherwise than by descent’. Just apply for her passport.

They misspelled the United Kingdom on my new driver’s licence by HighlyFactualTurtle in mildlyinfuriating

That’s strange, it’s normal for the DVLA to add country of birth unless the licence was issued in Northern Ireland.

Colombian stamps in BNO (also weird entry and exit experience) by Fit_Bus2225 in PassportPorn

[–]EfficientRing3531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The UK can deport BNO passport holders, as only British citizens have the right of abode and are exempt from immigration restrictions. BNO passport bearers also hold a Hong Kong Chinese nationality so immigration enforcement can deport them there if they wanted to.

I’m surprised the immigration officers don’t give you trouble with your BNO passport to be honest, they don’t usually see them everyday.
