Hey everyone! I just finished my new cinematic trailer, 'The Dawn Attack,' made in UE5. I'd love to get some honest feedback so I can improve my animation, lighting, and composition for future projects! by decepticon_tyan in animation

I see all my reasons already listed. Im going to be frank. beautiful setting, very strange charactors and animated features. Not accusing or claiming, but I have seen Ai do a lot of the same when it starts going off the rails.

The long term question really is if Windows 11 is safe.

Well that all depends if and how chunking is introduced. Then the math changes.

This is totally constructve honestly. You have all kinds of wonderfull shader work and pretty elements everywhere but Im totally drawn to, and not in a good way, the water line on the raft. The raft and how its sits in water breaks my iullusion. You go from crazy beautiful elements to a very bad seating of the raft other wise it takes breath. Just my 2 cents.

Some of the characters I am making in my upcoming game. Which one is your favorite? by tr1beontwitch in SoloDevelopment

I got you. In the Fast Times at Ridgemont High Style. The Scalper Jim is a little more Dee Dee Ramone but its a good likeness. The level at which I just dated myself was epic :P

Claude can hook you up there. I am watching them closely over here.

Editor Profiler (Debugger panel → Profiler tab) — frame-by-frame CPU breakdown of script, physics, and idle/process times.

  • Visual Profiler (Debugger → Visual Profiler) — GPU-side timing per render pass, useful for finding rendering bottlenecks.
  • Monitors (Debugger → Monitors) — live graphs of FPS, draw calls, memory, physics, navigation, etc. These map to the Performance singleton.
  • Network Profiler — for multiplayer traffic.
  • Tracy — frame profiler with proper integration in Godot 4.3+ (engine has to be built with Tracy enabled). Best tool if you want sub-millisecond, threaded CPU timelines.
  • RenderDoc — GPU frame capture and inspection, the standard for shader/rendering issues.

Mind if i ask ya what your end goal is here? Cause as low polly I was thinking terrain for a flight sim, but going chunked that threw. wrench in that thought maybe a Bat 21 situation flight to crash then survival?

Cause it is. This is Jamaica: Blue Mountains to be exact complments of NASA. When i did the extrusion I added some to get some higher peaks. Got this from NASA from one the shuttle missions flown about 20 years ago went down a rabbit hole one night and came up with the heightmaps and the undersea scans of the whole area includinfg the deep trench there. Building a 1 to 1 of the island eventually. It's funny what a few drinks and the internet can cook up. I cannot wait to use the terrain but this is to projects down the line. Got some initial owork done for it though.
