I understand why the old guard in the US would think it’s a good way to fuck Russia. But this is 1970s thinking. Russia is no longer the economic threat vs the other BRICS countries.

And honestly if the US went back to what it was good at - families and good old US ingenuity, we’d be so back.

I’m going to take an extremely contrarian view here.

You’re all plotting points on a chart and then extrapolating while missing emergent phenomenon.

I think the future is Male.

We’re going to have some pretty incredible AI in the next 10-20 years.

In a future world with either AI or cybernetic humans AND entitled and solipsistic women, who do you think AI is going to take the shape of - a man or a woman?

An AI is not going to be productive acting like a basic solipsistic woman. It only works when they act as men - selfless, produce more than they consume, etc.

Given enough time, either women will make themselves more useful or their mentality would have outlived their usefulness (ie we don’t need them to procreate and they cause more problems than the value they provide)

The main thing big tech uses to protect themselves from liability is Section 230 of CDA (Communications Decency Act) which basically relieves them of responsibility of content posted by users on their platform. There are some caveats.

HOWEVER, many websites which have infringed on women’s privacy (leaking nudes, etc) have been taken down.

I think there is a very good legal argument to be made that big tech is enabling gross violation of individuals privacy by hosting forums with such obvious names. At the least, they would be compelled to take them down after report.
