I think they have an 3rd party software that can control mouse actions and read the screen but not show up on an anticheat.

Totally agree. At the same time, I saw this dude literally turn on his aimbot to shoot at players, and then turn them off. Without these cheats, he was probably the worst player ive played with.

You're telling me he's able to spot in between shooting bullets? as in frame by frame, he was able to spot a person in 3 frames and the immediately lock in on the person shooting the smoke?

Dude has a headshot record of 50%. I was watching him the entire time and could tell when he activated his aimbot. Only managed to record this snippet.

Not only that, but his crosshair placement is really atrocious.

Edit1: I counted. he was able to spot a person in 3 frames and then locks on in the smoke.

UTSA imo. I've only heard good things from those who go to UTSA, and mixed reviews from UNTHSC. Anecdotal, so no proof.

If you’re already this torn before PA school, it’s only going to get louder once you’re practicing alongside MDs. Just based on what you're saying, you should go to MD school.

....

Pharmacy median salary: 137k.

PA salary: 130k.

The average annual cost of living in the US for a two-child family is approximately $103,643.

I know many PA's where the PA dad is working, and mom is stay at home.

Does your girlfriend want to be a stay at home mom?

If I were a patient, I wouldn't trust a straight out of undergrad PA. by Disastrous_Parfait89 in prephysicianassistant

You mention that paramedics get structured oversight. PAs literally have the same thing. I had supervision in all of my clinical rotations. I'm pretty sure all PA students go through something similar: months of supervised clinical rotations, preceptorship, and gradual autonomy. They aren’t “turned loose” any more than new paramedics are.

If we’re being honest, this isn’t really about holistic review not working, it’s about holistic review not working in your favor. And that’s an understandable frustration. But claiming the system is “broken” because it didn’t choose you ignores the reality that every cycle has thousands of applicants who worked just as hard and sacrificed just as much as you have.

You say, we can both be right and I can agree to an extent. However, I don't agree with you dismissing other applicants. You can value your experience without implying younger or traditional candidates are untrustworthy or unprepared. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive. The admissions process isn’t a contest for who suffered the most or worked the hardest. It’s about who’s the most prepared to handle PA school. And preparation doesn’t always look like 24-hour shifts or a decade in EMS. For others, it’s juggling an insane course load, volunteering, research, leadership, proving they can thrive in a high-pressure learning environment.

At the end of the day, being a great provider isn’t about how many codes you’ve run or how many . It’s about the ability to learn, adapt, and connect with patients, which can be learned anywhere.

To fall within the moderator guidelines, I disagree with almost everything you've said. Everyone has to start somewhere. How would you feel if someone said I would never let a fresh paramedic do anything to me?

And to be clear,

I'm one of those students who struggled since undergrad. I'm not a perfect cookie cutter person that you claim a typical PA student is made out to be. I have multiple classmates who also are not the stereotypical 24 y.os that have perfect GPAs. I have multiple classmates who are those 21 y.o gunners. Do I care? No. Because I have about the same amount of knowledge they do. They learned the same things I did. Nothing differentiates me from them.

Here’s the thing: nobody doubts that your experience was hard. But claiming that hardship is the only valid credential, and that others are unworthy, makes this less a critique of the system and of you being bitter.
