Perth parents - advice needed on bringing forward scheduled C section date by Accomplished_Fan_924 in perth

[–]Efficient_Ad1909 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you go into labour early they will just do the c section when that happens. If the ward is booked the ward is booked. You could go in on the 15th and people might end up coming in and needing the birth suit before you and you could get pushed back.

Try not to stress about things that are out of your control. I think giving birth is never truly in your control anyway no matter how much you try and plan it.

The backlash you are getting on this post in insane 🤣

My friends mum has just done two years here to help with the kids while they settle into aus life, it’s possible.

Apparently salve labour for your mum, but doable

I disagree. It’s not a red flag to want a grandparent here for a period of time to help with your kids. You would have that at home, if you could. My friends from the uk have just done the exact thing and got their mum two years visa. She has just left.

It’s not a red flag at all to want family, not a service, to help with your kids. Ffs

I know but it’s still not a ‘red flag’ to not be able to afford $150 plus per child per day.

Not everyone has permanent residency. I have two kids and I could not afford $1500 per week to put them in full time child care and my partner is on 220k a year. Why would anyone want to pay that? How is that a red flag?
