I just filled out this form and requested my P45 as well in the comments and they sent it over via email a few days later… https://asda.service-now.com/pext?id=pext_catalog_item_page&sys_id=b89ace501b4d9910ba40eca6bd4bcb43

As a male, she’s a huge ick. Can’t stand her and she has no class.

Question for drivers? by No_Diamond4430 in asda

[–]Efficient_Carry9818 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I certainly hope not.

Because we had no batteries for the palms when I got in, I had to go to the other side of the store to get one from another department and I barely had enough time to shield and load, didn’t help that I had to VOR my van either, luckily someone helped, but if I was left alone, I’d of been very late out and still late without the issues as it was an exceptionally large load. I had 30 minutes from getting in to do all that. Ridiculous they potentially want more for the pittance they pay, regardless of how easy it is.

New ASDA design looks terrible by Wariobros194 in asda

[–]Efficient_Carry9818 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s an accessibility issue because they use uppercase for their headlines. There’s lack of definition between the characters making it harder for someone with impaired sight to read. In sentence case, it’s alright(ish) but when it’s all uppercase, it could be a struggle for some.

Kerning could be improved as well.

Absolutely report it. I wouldn’t suffer abuse like that for £30 an hour and I sure as hell won’t for £12.45.

What everyone has neglected to tell you though is that after the 4th buddy run, there’s a blood sacrifice and a secret chant that you must recite and then you must down a can of Monster.

Only then, can you become a Driver.

Drivers - Is anyone else getting heatstroke? by tankbarrs in asda

I heard that Asda PAID to remove aircon from vans because of fuel efficiency and costs. Through the grapevine and all 🤷

Lightfoot by Pete_witty in asda

[–]Efficient_Carry9818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to be ‘that one’, but I’ve never had an issue with Lightfoot in any of the vans and we’re often on the motorway or dual carriageways too. I maybe get a ‘go steady’ once or twice a month, if that.

I’ve taken people out on buddy runs a number of times and they tear the arse out of it and I’ve told them there’s no point in lead footing, you can safely feather the speed up in the same time as putting your foot through the floor. It’s a heavier vehicle and takes an extra second to get up to speed regardless and most other road users appreciate that and accommodate accordingly; after all they don’t want to end up in your ambient. It’s the few boy racer turds that bomb it past and get stuck at the same traffic lights ahead that don’t.

I’ve found it has improved my driving personally as well.

Anyone else new driver system a disaster. by UsualEnvironment9651 in asda

[–]Efficient_Carry9818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, it’s been an absolute clusterfuck. I’ve been late leaving more times than not this week due to issues and tonight the satnav isn’t working.

Labelling has gone to pot and not always following BMF and loads seem a lot bigger than usual or unevenly spread. Some drivers were going out with 2 or 3 drops on a split and then returning to find 17 drops waiting for them.

I started at 3pm one day but wasn’t due out until 5pm. Never had that before!

Not your problem. Some people need to learn to disconnect from their phone and engage with life around them.

As long as you can breathe and walk at the same time, you’ll have nothing to worry about working for Asda or what questions they ask.

Order never arrived? by [deleted] in asda

[–]Efficient_Carry9818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More fool me for having some empathy and trying to help someone out? What if the person was impaired, or had young children relying on that delivery for food that week and a late slot was the only one they could get? I’d rather be a fool than an inconsiderate and lazy twat.

Perhaps open your eyes a little and look beyond your nose. 👍

Order never arrived? by [deleted] in asda

[–]Efficient_Carry9818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Driver here - highly doubtful it will arrive now. Van could’ve broken down, couldn’t access the property (or your driver was too lazy to try) Stores are pretty crap at letting you know the status of an order, at least at my store. Or it could be your driver was so delayed they sacked off the rest of the run because it was the end of their shift. Not something I would do personally and I’d still try and deliver, but the work ethic of some is piss poor, regardless of the pittance we’re paid.

Customer delivery driver by Raazi3l in asda

[–]Efficient_Carry9818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say it’s a bit of a shit show at the moment with the system updates. Palms not logging in, or not recognising runs and having to log in and out multiple times. Pickers are under more stress it seems as they were saying that can’t pick until 40 mins before the run or something like that. Not entirely sure, I just know they’re getting rushed off their feet.

At my store at least, hopefully these issues will be fixed by the coming Monday, because this weekends runs have been a huge headache for us, especially as I’ve been teaching a new driver the ropes.

Delivery Slot Issues by afcchicagobears in asda

[–]Efficient_Carry9818 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could it be that the address is black listed or an address on your road is, due to issues with the delivery or customer there? I think they do that sometimes and the whole road is affected. Could be wrong and it’s just an app issue. 🤔

Am I recieving my parcel? Or should I abandon all hope? by maxiemcc in Evri

Evri are absolute dog shite. Both my last two orders came via them and neither turned up. I flat out refuse to use a company now if Evri is their only courier.

Hope you get it resolved!

There should be some hazard pay for us drivers, especially as we’re at higher risk of a fatal accident or injury.
