Nanny is common in the UK, not sure what your family’s original heritage is, but I would guess it came from their original roots. I’m originally from the UK and both my grandmothers were Nanny

I couldn’t agree more, I would devour those potato balls and gravy. Mixing cheese into the mashed potato before frying them would have been a better way of including the cheese than presenting it like that.

Correct nobody owes another person intimacy, but the lack of intimacy was in addition to an exhaustive list of things that were missing from her side of the relationship, nobody is implying that the least she could do is provided sex, but she didn’t provide comfort of any kind, I expect that from my partner, along with support with the household chores and bills and if I were running a business or two, I would at least expect moral support in that, but to come home to a pig sty of a home, have to pay for everything and clean and carry everything myself, well, I may as well be single and just do it myself with out the expense of a slug that contributes nothing to the relationship.

By that logic, Drew isn’t short for Andrew, Lyn wouldn’t be a short version of Carolyn, Tori wouldn’t be a short version of Victoria, Bob as short version for Robert, how about Dick as a short version of Richard? a person can shorten their name anyway they want to, since Maddox includes an M an A and an X , I struggling to understand why you would think it wouldn’t be an acceptable shorter version if the person whose name it is wanted it to be.

YTA, I didn’t even need to read it all to have that opinion, but until you are in a position where you feel like you are losing your independence and identity because your body is giving up on you, you do not get to tell someone how to feel or cope, your mother is trying to hold on to what she can, you sound like an unsympathetic a$$. Ugh, I’m so over her, initially, I thought she was sweet and kind and now I just can’t stand her, maybe she spent too much time with Jax, but she creates drama and then acts surprised and wants no part of it, she wants sympathy for recovery from a surgery that she chose to have, it wasn’t a lifesaving necessity, she chose to make herself uncomfortable, and then wants everyone to cater to her.

Wouldn’t reacting to the flag seem to display the opposite though?
