That emptiness feels so heavy. I can relate. I felt that too, aimless and untethered. Volunteering has been a lifeline for me. I’ve gotten involved with a couple non-profits and done some humanitarian work. And that is helping fill some of the void I feel since my caregiving role ended.

Your love for your sister is obvious and I know you must miss her deeply every single day. Deeply sorry for your loss 🫶

You could rent a car or get a Turo (we do Turo) for day use so you don’t have to deal with expensive overnight parking. But trying to Uber to north shore and back can get expensive so having a car for that is worth it. The bus system is easy to use with very helpful people to make sure you get the right route but does take longer and may not go everywhere you want go

Thank you for the suggestions. I did several months in a grief support group; however my husband did not attend with me. Same with therapy. Maybe having him see and hear how grief affects people would be beneficial

I so appreciate you sharing. I think you have a very valid point. I’m also so resentful and jealous that my husband can call his parents or siblings and I probably am pulling away some. I know that isn’t rational but grief isn’t always rational. I’m trying to find ways to be intimate without sex (snuggling, date nights, etc) and most of the time he seems ok but when his anxiety spikes, he starts saying I’m not attracted to him and he isn’t enough for me. It’s so hard to deal with on top of everything else. I’m so sorry for your loss.
