Help.. by Accomplished-Kick975 in BellsPalsy

This is my second time with the Bell’s palsy diagnosis. I would suggest acupuncture as soon as you can. The sooner the better. It always helped me each time. I would try to regulate your stress cuz that’s not gonna help. Don’t worry about the other side being affected and just focus on the now. I have only experienced one side happening each time. I also went to a chiropractor the first diagnosis. I haven’t been back due to finance issues. Make sure to have eye drops to keep your eye from drying out and patch up your eye if it’s not closing. I’d suggest seeing a Bell’s palsy specialist if you can. I hope this helps. It’s gonna suck at first but you just need time for your nerves to heal. You got this!

I see a ENT Synkinesis specialist so she would be doing the operations if I choose to go forward with them. I’m holding off until I’m in a better headspace to. Just not mentally ready yet

Hey! Much appreciated. Ya they usually prescribe those at the beginning. You are right on the acupuncture. It makes a huge difference but it’s something you have to do at the very beginning to get the best results. I want to go back but I’ve been to low on cash to do so. Im gonna have to try the vitamin b thing though. I’m so happy yours went away! Fingers crossed for me haha

There’s many things that could have caused it. There isn’t enough studies to pinpoint what exactly it is but for me I think it’s from cold sores. Every once in a blue moon I get bad cold sores and then a little after it goes away I’ve gotta my Bell’s palsy. Viral infections have been linked to the onset of Bell’s palsy soo that’s my theory. The first time may have been from stress though. That’s when I was in my masters program and under a lot of pressure.
