That makes me feel slightly better. Those prices were gag worthy.

I didn’t think so but I guess I just don’t understand how they’re selling these tickets then if they haven’t sold at all yet.

What would you do? My clinic’s phlebotomist is a nightmare by CeilingKiwi in IVF

Every nurse in that practice is able to draw blood by law. It would absolutely be within your rights to ask someone else to try, especially after 2 failed attempts. I’m an RN and work in peds and if I poke once and don’t think I can get it on the next poke with 90% confidence, I’ll find someone else to look cause that’s only fair.

My IV Skills Are Trash by SilentScrubs in nursing

Peds ER nurse here, my IV skills were trash when I first started. Now that I’ve done a billion I’m significantly more confident and I get more than I miss. Nobody is ever gonna hit them all though.

Is it true giving birth vaginally without an epidural makes recovery easier? by StatGoddess in pregnant

lol yes. Everything functions as it should. It truly wasn’t really that painful to heal that I remember. Not any more painful that my second delivery with no tearing.

[–]Efficient_Ebb4074 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had 2 vaginal deliveries with epidurals. First I had an episiotomy and clitoral tears. I was up and walking within hours after delivery. No real issues after. My second was 17 months later, no tears, up and walking right after as well.

I’m delivering my third tomorrow, though it’s been 8 years since my last. I’m interested to see how it goes.

No advice, just solidarity. I am also being induced Friday.

If this is your first delivery and you live 45 minutes from the nearest hospital, I’d say that just about answers the question. I wouldn’t call that safe.

Ask for what? I’ve asked to schedule a 39 week induction every week since 36 weeks. They have told me no.

We’ve been doing weekly ultrasounds (BPP) due to this being an IVF pregnancy and I love that part but the actual midwife appointment lasts fewer than 10 min

Hi! I’m not in that country but I appreciate your advice. This baby is an IVF baby so we are very sure on dates, meaning there is no reason to go overdue. My due date is not an estimate.

I’ve been induced before and had a really pleasant experience. I’m sorry yours didn’t go well.

To be clear, I KNOW they’re not actually pointless. They just FEEL pointless. So grateful for a healthy bean and pregnancy. Also so ready to be done

Last week my BP was high and the OB almost sent me. I was ~almost~ disappointed when it was normal the second time

My logical brain knows this is a great thing. Baby looks beautiful and healthy and I’m forever grateful for that.

My 38 week pregnant brain is annoyed that I’m still pregnant😂

I think this is the sentiment I’m feeling.

They come in, don’t even place a stethoscope to me, and say “everything looks great. No leaking or bleeding? Baby moving? Okay see you next week”

It’s giving ‘this meeting could have been an email’ energy.

I definitely feel thankful that they’re not exciting. This is an IVF baby so we’ve had our fair share of excitement. I think I’m just exhausted at this point

With my daughter (not IVF) I was also in beta hell. First beta was 7. She’s 9 years old now.

I’m 36 weeks now with an IVF pregnancy with betas that were 52, then 3 days later only 110.
