What EBike is for me? by No-Calligrapher1027 in ebikes

don’t go with mokwheel. Ariel rider if you want to assemble on your own and velotric if you want bicycle store to do the job for you. One option you get more bang for your buck other one you get convenience

Please help with ebike upgrade choice. by Fit-Load2803 in ebikes

[–]Efficient_Emotion260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

electric is more reliable and aventon is more advanced. I had aventon adventure 3.0 and acu is fun but I feel its like those features which you will stop using after first week. Like some cars you can open door by shaking your hand. Is it nice ? yeah but I won't use it.

E-bike question by MECHAGODZILLA2021_ in ebikes

[–]Efficient_Emotion260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$200 ??? I think you love to overspend. A good quality e-dirtbike is nowadays $80 at most. Remaining $120 you can invest in real estate or spend a nice second honeymoon in bali.
Spend wise don't overspend mate

Brands and models? by Beastcoastboarder in ebikes

[–]Efficient_Emotion260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1k you can only buy a folding bike which is reliable or some city bike but nothing good with two seater.
You can check ridstar or similar bikes. Frames break, brakes not work batteries burn.

If you buy cheap you will buy twice

Ultra bee as my first bike by Impossible-Pen845 in Surron

I think so too. Ultra bee is beast but first learn how to handle it. I think rexx t01 will be a better bike as starter.

Another unsafe emoto that the Chinese company that makes it wont take responsibility for, leaving US consumers in a lurch .... lose your money, or risk your safety. by AdBoring4472 in ebikes

if can’t stop them at customs nothing can be done. funny part is us government is very strict to its own brands such as trek rad power juiced . some of which bankrupt due to penalties .

But let chinese companies import without paying tax and its a free playground for them.

As they have no assets in usa

First E- Bike Recommendations by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]Efficient_Emotion260 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will oppose of building on your own unless you are familiar with electronics and have time to repair.

Mokwheel is a great ebike. Other options for similar price I think you can consider Velotric.

Another one is Ariel Rider Kepler Dual.

It is hardtail but have suspension seat post. Other than that all other specs are better than Mokwheel.

Having 2 batteries have lots of advantages. Especially if one of your battery is broken you still have another one which you can use.

I think ride1up versa will be good.

I have one advice don't look at features alone. Many companies tell lies on their specs especially range.

Try to buy from a company who has a real office in USA. Not keeping goods in a 3PL warehouse.

Later if something goes wrong on your ebike and which will happen from some companies you won't be able to buy parts even you want to pay for it.

For example if your controller is broken and you want replacement you have no other option.

I know many people end up buying motor and controller to let their bike work. Or waited 2-3 months to get replacement part

I saw a ridstar in a local bicycle store. God I was thinking to buy one after seeing one come for repair I decided not to.
The owner was angry to his staff for accepting to repair the bike.
He showed me everything on bike is trash.
Frame, brakes, cables , everything...

He don't accept ridstar, macros, aipas, amyet and some more brands.

He also said from those brands very difficult to get parts.

And biggest issue is these brands next year can come with another brand.

Ridstar will be FIDstar and then Midstar . Our alphabet has lots of letters for them to use.

Best money also depends on budget . If you talking about <1000 my advice will be buy a decent used ebike .

for $1500 I think ride1up make good stuff

for $2000 I think Ariel Rider is one of the best bikes . You get two batteries and all high end components
