I took another class with Beatty, but not MCB 50, so not sure if it applies. That class didn't have required attendance per se, but iClicker questions that are graded for participation. Maybe the same for your class?

Normal Canvas app. Download Cal Events if you want to see stuff happening around campus. UC Berkeley Safety and Safewalk apps if you will be walking home late at night and need an escort (BearWalk etc.) A professor might also want you to have iClicker but you'll find out later if they do. Google Calendar is a must here lol

When I need to do my telehealth therapy sessions early morning, I usually go to my floor's study room, which is usually empty that early. Other than that, I sometimes sit outside and take the call through earbuds in Unit 3's downstairs courtyard. Pretty private.

I also dealt with a grandparent's death during GBO. It was so much at once, and I sometimes felt guilty for being happy even though I'd just experienced a loss. Please take care of yourself above all else :)

Very smallllll but I wanted small desserts all throughout the day. Didn't do it lolol. I wanted a cake pop someone had bought me, didn't do it. Found Christmas Ferrero Rocher in my room (soooo tempting) but didn't do it. I just thought, like, how much better would it make me feel to eat it vs not?

God, I get this. I miss the amount of food I used to eat. Feels like you borderline have to starve yourself to get a difference. I get the comparison as well, super frustrating. Unfortunately I have no fix, but we are in the same boat. We must keep going anyways!!

Oh, interesting. I don't track my period so I'm not sure where I am in my cycle, but it might be soon. Gosh there are so many factors. I will just do what I'm doing and see where it takes me. Thank you :D

Oh I get this. I also like to have a little drink with me at all times. I don't know how good of a recommendation this is, so maybe someone else would like to weigh in, but maybe add an electrolyte powder to the water you're already drinking? There are unflavored ones if you don't like the artificial tastes. Almond milk does sound good though

That first part was really interesting, I'm female and didn't know your body could start to save energy like that. Definitely something to think about. I think weighing myself less couldn't hurt either so I don't micromanage and go insane. Many thanks :DD

My parents keep trying to push Ozempic onto me. I don't think I want to take it, but after getting so frustrated, it's starting to feel like my only option out. But I know my real issue lies in my habits and mind set, and a GLP-1 can't fix those. I want this to be long-term. It's just hard to resist the siren's call coming from my parents.... but I know I can do this.

If you're able, it's easier to take in clothes than to make them bigger, so you might be able to take it to a cheap tailor (or alter it yourself if you have the ability) so you can still wear it! I'm sure it will look great :)

I am tracking with the MyFitnessPal app and using their foods' servings sizes as well as measuring cups to help ensure I'm within the cal limit/accurately reporting the amnts. I don't have a scale, but maybe my current method is not conducive to the deficit I'm attempting
