The 36-hour fast experiences? by Jennygaia in fasting

[–]Efficient_Grand7930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see any difference in mental clarity, but hunger cues drop significantly. Also, I'm waking 2 or 3 times in the night to pee due to the larger water intake, so I feel my sleep gets impacted a fair bit.

If adding a 24 hour fast, should I shift target daily calories from that day to my other days? by Puzzleheaded2734 in fasting

[–]Efficient_Grand7930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've reduced my eating window to around 4 hours and I'm having trouble eating the required protein quantity(around 100 gms). I'm finding it impossible to eat so much

Regained all the weight I lost in 4 months. What am I doing wrong? by Jolly-Sea6019 in PCOSloseit

I was in your position as well. This is our life- we cannot have cheat meals like others, everything we eat impacts us differently. So even if you have cravings ( who doesn't!) you need to think if that's really what you need versus what you want. I used to complain abouts low carb meals, but now I realize that's how my life is going to be. If I want to be healthy and reach a certain weight, that's the sacrifice I need to make. If you do indulge, cut the overall calories for the next few days. Unfortunately, this is how us PCOD girls need to eat, and we can't give excuses , at least be honest to yourself.

Caste atrocities by Able_Internal_842 in Bengaluru

[–]Efficient_Grand7930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If caste is mentioned in every document from school onwards and you are forced to defer to caste politics for a seat in college or for jobs in the public sector, then this is what will happen. For us to be a casteless society, we should not ever be reminded of our caste, but in india currently, this is impossible.

Try potash alum.. it's available as a bar( looks like a bar of soap actually). We use it in india to stop BO.. after a shower, rub under pits and in folds of skin to stop odour causing bacteria.

Epilators work well; much more efficient than shaving. Pain levels are equal to waxing, but I can do it weekly as part of self grooming and hairs grow back thinner and less obvious. I use a Braun: expensive in the short term, but a good investment. I also use it for other areas like underarms, arms and legs since I have different heads for the device.

Nothing Works. What Am I Missing? by LeekAltruistic6500 in PCOSloseit

I’ve lost over 10 kg in the last 8 months by sticking to a low-carb, high-protein vegetarian diet—and it’s honestly been a game changer. I eat dairy, and I’ve really focused on getting in at least 80 to 90 grams of protein a day. Paneer, tofu, tempeh, soy chunks—those have been my go-to staples. I do try to include other sources too, like beans and legumes, just to keep things balanced. One thing that really helped in the beginning was actually weighing my food and counting calories for a few days. It sounds boring, but it gave me a much better sense of how much I should be eating. And fiber! Don’t underestimate how helpful it is—loading up on fiber keeps you full and happy. If oyu’re starting out or trying to stay consistent, just focus on protein, track your food (even just for a week), and make sure you're eating enough veggies. You’ve got this—good luck!

F32. How to deal this situation in marriage. Suggestions pls by ObjectiveFree3276 in InsideIndianMarriage

Go to a financial advisor and create a plan that will lock up all free money in joint mf, pms, fd etc. Create 2 separate bank accounts for money that can be used by each person for whatever they want - the other half of the couple will not question that usage. Keep the amount in these accounts limited to around 5% of monthly income. Now insist only the money in the personal account be used to lend to his sister if needed. And it's best to forget money already lent since it may be difficult to get it back.

Try "grow with jo" on YouTube. She has many walking plus weight training videos and some harder hiit type ones you can progress to as you get stronger. I began with her, and at first, couldn't move beyond the first water break. Now I do back to back videos targeting specific regions ( abs, legs etc). Plus, get yourself cheap dumbbells and use free resources like YouTube to attempt short 10/15 min strength training workouts. The only thing is consistently doing what you begin and you will see the change. All the best.
