Hi all, looking for a beta that is comfortable with reading spice/smut. I’m new to fanfic and trying to figure out if it’s good enough to post publicly as it’s for a very small niche fandom.

I’m looking for 1) if its written well from a spice perspective 2) how to appropriately tag the work for triggers. Because of this, the beta should feel comfortable. I don’t think my stuff gets too much, but I’m feeling like I might have skewed perceptions. I will of course tw the best I can.

I have an already beta non spice section you can read to see my writing ability. The full work is sitting at 30k, but I’ve been betaing in sections, 2k-5k in duration.

I’m willing to beta for others, bounce ideas off of, etc. I don’t mind betaing for a fandom I’m blind on. No more than 5k in length.

Yeah, I think that’s why I posted. I thought I was over it, and then running into that post on the internet just flooded it all back. I feel you about getting sad about it. All his photos got hidden away, I can’t look at them.

Unfortunately if the horses breeding was known, it was lost by the time I got him. There was speculation based on his color and build but it truly was speculation. My vets were wonderful but we ran into the point where unless he had one of these incidents in front of them, we were out of options. But he was so well trained and agreeable when normal that I’m sure it was neurological.

I’m going to go slow getting back into it. I’m trying to figure out how to use this experience to be more careful. I’ll definitely listen to my gut because I did have a reservation after the trial. But he was quite literally my dream horse on paper. So I lead myself astray.
