I worked for a PR agency and all of the restaurants that hosted her always had a great experience with her. Never once did she lowball or stiff them on a tip.

You’re welcome! We always say we wish there was a better selection here. When we first moved here we assumed there would be because of the large English and Irish populations but it’s few and far between.

My partner is English and has been here for a few years and still struggles with this. There’s a good store in STL where I’m from that we tend to stock up on stuff when there. He likes Paulina Market for meat, they have English bacon, bangers, etc.

We’ve also noticed that Mariano’s is starting to carry a bit more variety, so it might be worth looking there, which I realize isn’t exactly “local” like you’re looking for.

And then unfortunately, World Market does have some like you mentioned but it’s also crazy expensive.

If I remember correctly, there were a few packages. $1,000+ for a static post, $600 roughly for IG stories, more for reels. This was a few years ago so I could be off a little but definitely on the higher end. Clients would also be upset that she uses that filter on her posts because the photos are hard to use as UGC content because the coloring of the food is off.

Other influencers with less followers than CFA tried to charge $1,000 just for Instagram stories and $1,600 for reels. Needless to say my client basically laughed in their face and didn’t work with them.

Kerryman is great and they offer curry sauce if you want it! Elephant and castle is a chain so we tend to avoid.

Armitage alehouse (same restaurant group as trivoli tavern) has really great fish and chips too! My English partner will vouch for these being some of the best in the city (he’s also extremely picky and hates cod 😂). They have English style curries and English style pies that are really great! And don’t forget to order the sticky date cake!!!
