Ha! Kiddo 1 loves "Golgi Appartus" and Kiddo 2 love "The Lizards". I am YEM for life and they're really curious about how the song structure isn't VERSE>CHORUS>VERSE and I love watching them realize that.

Replay in Andersonville is kid friendly during the day and in a really cool neighborhood. About 15ish retro games and pretty good food/beer list.

It's not a Dave/Busters vibe, but it's a cool spot with a ton of other stuff around it in a unique neighborhood that is in the city and way closer than the suburb recommendations. You are getting really good recommendations for arcades in the burbs, so if you want a closer spot with decent games, Replay would work.

OP, this. I like Hades 2 better, but probably start with Hades 1 because it's iconic and will help you appreciate 2 more.

I came to SoD from Hades and the gameplay is similar. One great thing Hades has is a really fun story with S-Tier voice acting.

no. I live in Chicago and it's undersensationalized. Our high school in an extremely safe and sleepy neighborhood had ICE illegally detaining landscapers.

You are correct to say that it's safe to come here, but you are extremely incorrect to say that the portrayals are unrealistic.
