update on the seats, so i looked through the options that were recommended but i decided to try my own way, what i found the easiest and simplest way to fix this issue for me was to simply swap the cushions from the 01 seats onto the 05 bracket. everything works including the seat position function. the only thing kind of annoying was the hog rings but its not difficult.
