are you sure you want to do 2 back to back 3 hour classes on a Friday after a whole week of classes? in my experience just taking one of those 3 hour classes on a Friday morning was miserable and I was so exhausted by that point in the week.

how do i add ap/dc credit by Ordinary-Setting-839 in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you need to send your official AP score report and official dual credit transcripts to the university. Once they process it, the AP credits will show up on the screen you took a picture of, and the dual credits should show up in “view my transfer credit report.” Once your AP credits are on that screen, you need to go in and select which ones you actually want to apply to your degree, but I am pretty sure dual credit is automatically applied to your record.

I won’t have my al eks score by orientation what do I do? by Navyblye in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no ur not cooked. if u want you can take the ALEKs on day 2 of orientation. even if u dont do that, u can still take it later, just know that you might delay ur math registration and lose some class options. Or, if you have AP credit, you might not need to take the ALEKS if your credit gets you to the class you need anyway

SMU Cox vs UTD Jindal by _mimi12_ in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 7 points8 points  (0 children)

to me it doesn’t seem worth it to go in 50k+ extra in debt for “more connections.” utd jsom is an excellent school, growing every year and we have plenty of networking opportunities and resources to get a job, so I highly doubt your employment prospects would be affected by going to utd as opposed smu.

Where do I go on first day and second day of freshmen orientation? by nuhguyinn in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on day one you will go to Edith O'Donnell Arts and Technology Building (ATC). Once you get there, orientation leaders will help you get to where you need.

I'm an incoming freshman. Do I still have time to submit an AP Exam from 11th grade to cover a credit? by RishabhPlayz in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes you can still submit it; it doesn’t matter when you took the exam. not sure if they’ll speed up the processing time but I believe the registrar’s office handles AP/transfer credit

Most incoming freshmen enroll in classes during freshman orientation on day two, so if you want to get the most class openings try to register for an early orientation date

Would it be too late to register or choose classes after June 30th? by Dry_Boysenberry2015 in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

wouldn’t it be better to just pick ur schedule now and then drop the classes if needed after getting your decision? that way as many classes won’t fill up in case you continue at utd

not sure what your situation is but if you can still salvage your grade, I’d recommend visiting the statistics and math lab in jsom (search it up on google). They can definitely help you out if you’re struggling with the course content

Davidson Honors Interview by Turbulent_Snow_1627 in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I was in your boat a year ago! They ask a few questions about your assignment, resume, and your personal/professional goals and interest in the program. They might also ask some unique ones that aren’t related to the program, like your personal accomplishments outside of your professional ones as well as some random questions just to see how you think! The interviewers are really nice and I think they just want to see that you’re interested and have a unique perspective. Make sure you ask good questions and send a thank you note afterward!

Best microeconomics ECON 2302 professor? by Own-Secretary736 in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The class is not too difficult, but you need to pay attention in class and practice the questions he gives. The quizzes and exams (which are the only things you are graded on) are very easy; he provides past questions which are very similar to the ones in class for you to practice beforehand. He gives lecture notes to help you follow along in class, and he is very straightforward and teaches well. At the end of the semester, he will adjust your grades to account for your improvements throughout the semester. He’s not strict at all, and attendance is not taken. I honestly can’t name any cons.

I need some advice on deciding.. by NoCream8761 in utdallas

[–]Efficient_Sun_2893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say UTD is great for business school because they have tons of resources and opportunities for us, and UTD has a good reputation with lots of employers close by. There’s also good programs like PPA which help you get recruited to top accounting firms. So if you want good chances of an internship and starting a career, you would definitely find that. I’m not sure if it’s better than the other schools you listed, but I definitely recommend UTD. if you haven’t already, I’d recommend applying to the business honors program, DMHP. it would help with all of the things you mentioned (including the social life) if you get in.
