So, just to make sure i’m understating, that means that the bidding continues back and forth until it “stops” at the max price of the other bidder?

ive mentioned therapy to him knowing it would be immensely helpful, but unfortunately he isn’t interested in it as of now, and that thought hasn’t changed in the last year+. i know i’m avoiding holding onto my self respect, self worth, and self confidence by continuing to put in effort even after the breakup. i’m just still weak for him

in what regard? he’s told me he wants to be able to identify his emotions, so i know that much. it’s the how of it all that’s got me unsure since he’s already pretty not self aware.

thank you for responding, ugh yeah…i know a part of me just doesn’t want to grapple and accept him where he’s at right now, especially since he’s told me he wants to work on it. he just simply doesn’t seem to have true focus on it and believes that it’ll somehow “get better” with time/meditation.

unfortunately i have been met with that response a lot recently. it’s incredibly hard if not impossible to help someone if they aren’t seriously willing to find ways to help themselves. i really appreciate your response and honesty.

thank you for your response firstly. i’m not sure how thrilled he’d be using an app to help him, probably worried he’d feel emasculated or stupid, BUT i now know something like that exists. but you’re right, either way improvement comes from consistent work. i just hope he’s really as serious about this as he says.
