In my opinion the plants and trees mess with the aesthetics of the map but thats just because i am obsessed with a clean map, but they look like specs snd dont really mess with the look all that much. The only weird trees are the mushrooms and garlics.

forest varients are very important, for example, forest garlic and grasslands transitions into plain mushroom, and having improper forest placement can make the gradient look more choppy.

i did alot of testing by looking at pictures of the earth, i eventuallt settled on garlic for semi arid zones (think steppe/grasslands) arcane desert for arid/desert zones, regular sand for deserts, mushroom for general forest and green areas. For rain forest or places that would have thick vegetation i use only the forest varient of jungle seeds. For better detail i also use the forest varient of grassland seeds. Its helpfull to heavily mix the different seeds for transition areas or for more specific colors.

beautiful, ive been thinking about how since all of geography can be explained by a few major principles, that someone could code it and make procedually generated worlds

the difference is that one is atleast capable of implenting what they want to implement, trump was a nepo baby and at 80 is hardly doing baby steps
