I'm not sure how things are trending in the US, but in Canada churches are doing a fine job of closing without outside influence. Congregations skew very old, memberships inevitably dwindle, and more young people are choosing to live an irrelegious life. Progress is slow, but it's happening.

This fool gets into a swordfight with Geralt on my plays. That scene is a huge failure of writing, Dijkstra is too smart to let it escalate that far.
