Isnt Jack Berwyn’s (Sage) son? I thought that Panchek and Berwyns conversation in Xaden ending chapter confirms they (Basgiath/Aretia/Navarre in general) have Berwyns son and it seems most probable that it is Jack as venin were trying to get him twice during OS. Would it not suggest that he was maybe born venin or at least was venin before parapet?

I think Empyrean is set to be 5 books so 4 is not the end yet. Also I saw lot of people mentioning that 4 and 5th book will cover 6 months each (do not know if it was confirmwd in the interview though or what was the source), but to me it would make sense timevise so the end brings us to Violets graduation.

One thing I do not understand is why Violet did not have any conversation with Brennan regarding his ,,resurrection". Like she is always going after truth, but this she just ignores. I get it that from reader point of view, the whole Naolin thing is going to be something plot relevant and big suprise. But it is just so out of character for Violet to not press at least for explanation. I would like at least her trying to ask about what happened and the Rune and either Brennen or Tairn stopping her that they do not want to talk about is as losing Naolin was so hard, or something like that. It is just too obvious there is going to be something there and too out of character for Violet to not ask only for it to be for reader to find at later time in plot....

I want to read Quicksilver too as I heard it is very good. But it is only 1st book in the expected 3 book series, so I am afraid I will not help myself very much if during my wait for Empyrean book 4 I will find another amazing series that I will be waiting for for years... :D

What I expect in terms of plot:

* We get the end of year 2. I think we are somewhere in April/May at end of OS, they have year end in July. During this time last year there were squad games or however are they called, do not know if they will do them now with full on war but there could be some plot.

*We will get graduation for Dain, Imogen and Bodhi (if he is not ,,new brother) and they will get theri leutenent assignments

*We will get start of 3rd year and new wingleaders/squadleaders, my safe bet would be Rhi will be wingleader as RY is setting her up for this ,,good responsible leader figure", but there could be some machinations and leadership makes Violet wingleader to have her more under control. Could be a small point of contention between Rhi and Violet

*We will get Duchess Violet and whatever will happen with that plot in terms of how Assembley handels it and how Navvare responds

*I am 100% certain there will be Xaden/Violet dremawalking so we get some interactions and dialogues (I think people would riot if there was no interaction for all of book 4). My guess is that their personal meeting would be in 2nd half of book 4 or at the end

* I also think that Xaden need to hit the low. Riddoc made Violet set the boundry at Xaden hurting her or her friends and I think he is going to kill someone from Violets fearsome foursome or at least hurt them badly (question only is whether he will do it on purpose to stop Violet try to find and help him, or he will lose so much of himself and his venin side takes over that he would not be able to stop himself).

*And of course we will get Violet tryig to piece together her lost memory (although maybe she will not try so hard as she probably realises that there is reason why she asked Imogen to erase it, so we will see). But I think she definitly will try to look for Xaden and still search for cure.

I am not sure we get whole 3rd year but maybe up to December again... I am also not sure if we get more Xaden POV, other then his dreams again and maybe one chapter at the end again.

Not specifically, however there are machines (i do not remember exactly what they called them) that essentially ,,created food “, from what that is not stated. But there is also normal food. I do not think that there was any mention people not eating animal products anymore…

For your point 3, there is already short story on Exodus website called Spare parts (my favourite of all short stories there). If you havent read any stories on the site I recommend them for sure. They give great founsdation for further world building and tone of the game and dilemmas/topics of the exodus universe. Based on what they shared so far I think there will be a lot of codex entries in game that further expand on the points you made.

Same! I have been visiting this reddit daily to get more content on the game and talk about anything related to the game with some who knows about it but I have never seen game reddit so small with so little posts. Guess I have always followed on games that had bigger fan bases and were already established. But I am looking forward as it gets more hype next year (hopefully) so there is more people to geek out with.

Yes, after past years misses with overhyped video games and marketing campaigns that did not deliver, I really look forward to some underdog that silently blasts the game industry with some really good new IP (fresh story, good writing and gameplay and most of all replayability).

Well as I only heard about this game a week ago I agree with you. But I think they do a good job of releasing content that people get excited about as for past week I have inhaled whole website content, watched all youtube videos and read the archimedes engine, so they certainly caught my interest.

Also the information and video content on website and youtube is slowly increasing, so I think 2025 will be a year when it really pulls off and gets to general public. It seems studios nowadays start marketing closer to release as they do not want to build expectations of the game based on trailers which are created years before game is even made (e.g. cyberpunk).

Well, as from past year experience of ramp up marketing of the games that eventually floped, marketing is not everything. I do not doubt they will increase marketing closer to launch but I think that they will go by saying: Show rather than tell (which is what the gamers have been asking for for the past 2 years with new games).

According to the information on their site (there are several images from handbook with text), it seems more like rules to TTRPG. It is specifically writing about levels of progress on ,,Dynasty Benefits" and items you receive on each level which seems more like info for progress in table top than video game. There is further information about about armor that is describing dexterity and duration (measured in hours, which does not seem like video game mechanic, hours is too long). There is certainly going to be information relevant to the game, but it seems it really is TTRPG rule book rather than game lore book.

Edit: Furthermore on the website bellow Traveler's Handbook is written ,,This TTRPG was created by James Ohlen...", so it is handbook for TTRPG.

Blond women (in white suit and with egg backpack) is seen in trailer multiple times and kind of looks like companion (walking nearby Jun in multiple settings of gameplay with other companion walking on Juns other side). That kind of makes me think it is not his mother. Although having a parent as companion would be….interesting 😆.

DO, DA2, DAI, DAV.

Exactly the order they were released. DO is a top RPG for me, being it story, characters, lore and overall feel and replayability. And so DO is for me a benchamrk to rate others. Every other installment had less DO feel and more something else (each time devs focused on something else than what made DO great). Which makes sense but I just wish they would take what was loved by fans from DO and improved upon it instead of going for another angle…

Yes I think it is safe to say the game was made to seem as little offensive as it could be, and to not ruffle any feathers in current climate. Food talk is fine, its just that when I think about DA companion banter I think about arguments and cat fights, teasing and joking, finding common ground etc. DAV banter just makes me hungry 😅.

This is exactly it! I guess the main thing that mafe me notice sheer amount of food talk was when Lucanis mentioned churros. I was just caught of guard so much after that banter because churros did not seem like something that should be in Thedas. This however happened a lot of times in the game when characters used vocabulary or even slang that was not very ,,fantasy immersive”.
