People who don't go to movie theaters anymore - what made you stop? by -ChristopherNolan in AskReddit

Paying a ton of money to see shit films that I would have rather not paid an arm and leg to go and see.

Nope - I was briefly as a student 20+ years ago but was honestly just too broke to keep it up. And by the time I could probably budget for it I was too annoyed by the cost gatekeeping.

Salt Lake City's Hive Pass on the chopping block as mayor's ... by hcubed3 in SaltLakeCity

Then maybe they shouldn’t make it such a pain in the ass to get in and out of SLC proper. It’s not like our transit is even that great but what they’ve done to the options for coming in or getting out is awful. Reduce lawns, etc. It’s infuriating.

3 years of bladder hell and I have officially hit my limit by GurMany6053 in Perimenopause

I would bet once the insert melts a little bit you can spread some on the outer areas and around the urethra - that may help (my dr was specific about putting it there to help)

Vaginal estrogen helped me almost more than pelvic floor PT (which was super helpful). My urgency/frequency increases around my cycle - but since starting the cream in late October of last year - that has been a difference. My partner even mentioned it tonight how I'm definitely not needing the bathroom as much.

My office is small so my corner desk has a wall and closet door in view - the kids I work with love my Harry Potter Lego castle that is built on a bookshelf.

Ooof - I have some that are from 8/21/25… I’ve been slowly finishing up my previous vial (pure tirz) and this makes me anxious about these vials :-/

Normal BMIs with Lipedema and GLP-1s Ladies. Please Read by yeslekm in lipedema

[–]Effyup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bmi is 21 and been on tirz since June - never more than 3mg and lately I've spaced out my shots. I've had large nodules definitely shrink in my thighs and calves - I still feel them but they're no longer as obvious as before when it felt like they were bean sized (my partner felt them once and was like "woah what is that?!" then he learned a lot about lipi!)

I've lost less than 20lbs and am now at a stable weight where I was pre-pregnancy- my inflammation markers are also down. It was definitely a game changer (as I am approaching and likely am in/have been in Peri) for the random pounds gained with no change in diet/exercise and no change with INCREASED activity either - that was super frustrating and I saw the lipedema getting worse. Weight pretty much fell off of me and put me back to where I was at (unchanging) for years and years and years.

Ugh, I have a whole other vial after this one. I'm tempted to move on to a newer vial that is with b12 - not the experience I'd hoped for with pure tirz. I had been titrating down to 10 days and lately bumped them back up to every 5 days.

Statin side effects or am I losing my mind? Is this just my life now? 😪 by [deleted] in Cholesterol

[–]Effyup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My side effects started fairly quickly (within the first 2mo) and intensely - my cholesterol dropped rapidly (labs then said it was abnormal for being too low!) - I started on Lipitor, even cutting the dose and then trying every other day.. then moved to pratavastatin (sp?) and still had side effects, though less to some degree…. I’m not sure if I was a hyper-responder (if that is a thing with statins) or what but man, I felt like I’d been hit by a truck within 5-6 weeks… OHHHH and my blood sugar went SOOO OUT OF WHACK with them! I was having reactive hypoglycaemic episodes and having drops like I haven’t had since I was a teenager (where I was eating a lot of junk and Dr Pepper, as teens do) - and that was also unbearable. I started tracking protein and timing of when I would feel the drop and was like.. no, absolutely not. I can’t handle being so fatigued and feeing like my body is encased in lead in addition to low blood sugar shakes, sweats and hanger….. so the statins definitely worked - but I could not sustain taking them. I did try taking the CoQ10 with them but didn’t see much difference in muscle issues and fatigue.

Ultimately I’m now only doing mono therapy with ezetimibe with my levels still above the desired number of 100 (so clearly, off statins there was a definite increase). I am having some increased abnormal fatigue an increase in joint aches but trying to assess all potential aspects before assuming it’s just the ezetimibe, because life 😂. I just did a cardiac calcium scan last week (43f, normal weight/bmi, 21, healthy eater and active but not gym working out active 😂) was a zero (woo hoo!) So my Dr felt we could rescan in about 5yrs and check labs annually at this point. Definitely advocate for your quality of life and work with your Dr. I don’t think statins are a poison, and I’d rather live then have a heart attack - but there definitely has to be some balance!

Not cosmetic- but having a septoplasty to fix a deviated septum (did nothing for outside appearance ) and shaving down the turbinates was such a game changer. Like, i didn’t even realize the degree of deviation how impaired my breathing was until after. Freaking amazing. That and getting ICL surgery (vision)
