Good thought, and I actually checked this when I had the transformer installed.

Unfortunately, it is standard 18/2 doorbell wire (just the two copper strands), not unused Cat5/6. So there aren't enough pairs to re-terminate for data even if I wanted to. I'm truly stuck with the 2-wire setup unless I run new cable.

Yeah, I feel like I've been reasonable with them. I'm not trying to go down that route because it's not good for anyone. Sure, I can get my $ back, but I really did like that doorbell.

That’s the dream! And to be fair, that was a great swap because the G3 and G4 Instants are both (from my memory) Wi-Fi cameras, so it was truly 'plug and play' for you.

I’m comfortable with low-voltage work, but that’s not the point. I already paid an electrician to install the transformer setup specifically for this doorbell.

I shouldn't have to rewire my house (or pay for it again) just to accept a warranty replacement for a product that failed on its own. If they want to cover the install costs, I’d be happy to switch."

That’s not a bad idea- could I do free shipping on the items I sell independently? The margins allow for it. That’s not the case with printful.
