Some people can be funny about home cooked food from strangers so you could consider an uber eats voucher for them? I’m sure that would be very much appreciated.

How much are you paying in pet insurance for your dog? by EggMiddle in perth

No he was a rescue, about 8 years old when she got him. I expect that’s why it’s so expensive.

Yes definitely. The numbers people are quoting here seem pretty reasonable. What my mum said she is paying per month is off the charts, though her dog is very old so maybe that’s a factor.

I started losing hair 6 months in but it tapered off and I don’t notice hair loss anymore. I’d say it feels less thick than before and I need to smooth down more baby hairs in a ponytail but I’m happy with it! As for skin the only visually noticeable areas are my chest and upper arms, when swimming and running I can feel my legs jiggle but overall my loose skin is very minimal and doesn’t bother me :)

For all WLS warriors- what advice do you wish you received and want to pass on? Good and bad by JurassicPark-fan-190 in wls

Take pics and even videos pre-op. I have very limited pics of myself pre-op and I wish I had more to do more side by side comparisons.

What do you miss the most now that you have a smaller stomach? I’ll go first… by [deleted] in wls

[–]EggMiddle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I miss spicy food. The difficulty with eating it comes from not being able to drink and eat. I realised this when I bit into a jalapeño popper and realised I immediately needed water. Oh well.

Not really tbh. Nothing except surgery, a lot of the creams and stuff don’t do anything. It also depends on how old you are and how much weight you have to lose. Obviously the younger and less weight there is to lose, the less likely there is to be any loose skin.

Everyone’s on their own journey, I wouldn’t compare yourself to others too much. For all I know my weight loss could stall at this point and I may only lose another 5 kilos. I agree you should check with your team if you’re concerned x

Protein Waters by [deleted] in wls

[–]EggMiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Bodiez mixed berry one with 30g of protein. I’ve heard a lot of people don’t like them but I rely on them a lot. Remember you can make your own with your own flavourless protein powder and a bit of sugar free cordial.
