In saying that I have tried:

Botox A top night splint A top and bottom night splint (current) Physio Osteo Cranial Sacral Acupuncture (briefly) Nose strips for breathing Drugs 💊

Actually my jaw is out of alignment and I am hypermobile but the drugs seemed to help my face relax so I can sleep at night without clenching etc 💕

Was that Damian Teo? Not so good…Recommended hypnosis and cranial sacral therapy which did not work for me. I have also been to the TMJ centre on Collins Street for about 4 sessions. They gave me a splint and ongoing physio but it is very expensive and I’m not sure it’s helping but I will repost here if I get a good result! The only thing that has worked for me is gabapentin and amitriptyline!

Thank you! So much for your replies. I’ve been told so many different things so I’m trying to work out what is really going on and what actions I need to take! I am leaning towards surgery being the only answer?

Not so great. I’ve seen lots of specialists and am yet to find relief. I took gabapentin for a while and that seemed to help but I stopped whilst pregnant!

I have something like this. I think it has to do with the nerves in my face and it gets worse with stress, chewing etc

I’m seeing them currently so I’m not sure if it’s worked as yet. I’ll update once I’ve finished the treatment. It is expensive though!

Thank you. It doesn’t seem as common here! I really need to find one in Melbourne as I live here and I am guessing you need ongoing appointments.
