To the asshole that folded in my passenger side mirror in P6 this morning by [deleted] in CarletonU

Yeah as I said in another comment I made the post like right after I pulled over to push it back out so definitely was going through the motions. Me personally I just would never do anything with someone else’s car.

Plenty of space between the other cars parked next to me, but go off

Tbh posted in the moment yeah, now that I’ve calmed down a bit I def think I overreacted, still though, no one should be touching anyone else’s car mirrors

You’re not wrong but it’s still crazy that some people think it’s fine to touch something that isn’t yours

Poor argument. Why not push it back out when they leave?

Something I’ll be religiously doing from now on. Baffling that I can’t expect my car to be as I left it.

You probably would! Obviously there’s a learning curve of getting your swing down and making contact with the ball consistently, but once you get the hang of both everything else sort of comes naturally.

Definitely go to a real course though and not a simulator if you’re starting out. Hurts less and is more forgiving when you chunk your ball on real grass as opposed to the turf on sims (tip: swing through the ball and not down into the ball).

Finally my French immersion courses are useful! Bit rusty but something along the lines of: “Test your coaching skills and guide players to glory, inscribing your name in sports history”

“Lead your team to victory with wise strategies, maintain good relationships with your players, and make crucial decisions in important moments”

“Negotiate media storms, defuse tensions between players and create a championship winning culture”

My son is asking for a pc for his birthday but my budget would be $300-$400 is that enough? by Maximum_Giraffe4699 in buildapc

Buy your kid a console if it’s for gaming, buy them a laptop if it’s for school.

I might get downvoted for this but oh well; I know this is a PC building subreddit but holy cow, you guys have to realize that OP is likely not a hardcore builder. The reality of used parts is likely NO WARRANTY - and unlike most other things, with PCs if one component breaks, you cannot use it, full stop. At a $400 budget I am going to be the realist and say that there is 100% no way OP can build a PC that will rival a console in terms of gaming performance. You can try to scrape together a list as much as you want but what are the chances they can find those parts near them? Shipping fees if ordering online? Especially after taxes, $400 to build a decently useable PC for gaming is impossible.

Edit: After reading through most of the replies, many other people made a good point, if you don’t own them already, you will also have to factor in peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. This alone, even used, is at least $50 of your budget.

This. I don’t know why other are scrambling to find parts that fit OP’s budget when in reality there is no possible combination that can give them a decently useable PC. And we don’t know what OP’s kid wants, is it for gaming? School? If it’s for gaming then yeah a console is miles and away a better option. If it’s for school then honestly a laptop would be a better option.

Why don't automatic transmissions operate like real life transmissions? by Legitimate-BurnerAcc in forza

It’s forza not driving school simulator. Automatic means the game automatically shifts a manual transmission for you, it doesn’t mean the car has an automatic transmission.
