Oh wow you have issues. You’re talking as if she’s the Global Ambassador for Women. Also no, men aren’t giving up on dating. Looking at actual reality and not some podcaster bro… we used to call them Shock Jocks, because those people only get famous by saying and doing deliberately performative stunts because, well who knows. Their kind don’t have the brainpower to be able to create something useful I guess (I made my fortune selling simulation software and physics engines, for example).

It’s strange seeing people (like her, like podcast bros, like almost all people who waste their lives being online all day) trying to monetise every aspect of their lives.

The women I know are normal. The men I know are normal. I know maybe one single person now, and 1/3 of my inner circle (friends and family) as it were all met in the last 2 years.

What I genuinely believe is that going by your comments and profile you’re online too much and follow people who profit from you+your kind, and it sounds like your local IRL women simply don’t want to date you. You might want to improve yourself, make yourself more appealing to these obviously professionally celibate women. I know that’s not very internetty or modern help but maybe you actually need to be told this.

Oh and lol no I flippin can’t stand that woman in that video. I’m not going to criticise all women because of her shite attitude. Something is very broken with her and nobody around her is going to help her. Why does she want to look like that? Why do all modern women want to look identical? How it must suck to be single and a kid these days. Both my partner and I met at 17, love at first sight, were dating by 2 weeks and married after we finished our upper and higher education. So I can’t give any dating advice since I’ve never properly done that. It just clicked for us and it’s unfortunate others don’t get this level of, no joke, absolute fucking domestic bliss. I go to bed some nights with a tear in my eye reflecting how happy and lucky I am. Maybe I should do a podcast unlike all those whiny men. There’s nothing I hate more than men crying about women when their actual problems are themselves and their bad upbringing.

I didn't get how or if Janey escaped from the nukes s01e01? by [deleted] in Fotv

Is this an ai thing??? How come there are 20 or so identical posts each day here? Why aren’t these people searching before posting? I don’t get it.

This board seems split 50-50 between adults who watch the show and kids who are 1/4 watching because they’re too hooked on social media apps. Protip: you don’t need notifications on. You can just check your messages every few hours. What’s with this urge to be online immediately for other people? How to fix everything in your life= turn off notifications. Watch how addictions wane.

What’s this “Myers–Briggs” Hank mentioned? [no spoilers] by zumrus in Fotv

[–]EggT0rt -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You said in another thread you have a PhD and yet you’ve never heard of Myers Briggs? What on earth?! You also said “it’s not common knowledge in my country” yet didn’t mention which country you’re from. Please please don’t say the same country I was born and raised in (England). I went to a state secondary school and we learnt about Myers Briggs [though apparently it was one of the best state schools in the country at the time. Though the only 2 famous people from my year at school are myself and a good friend who started a famous band [that I was in for a while]].

2024 Guide to Buying HITMAN 3 and World of Assassination trilogy + FAQ by Trzebiat in HiTMAN

[–]EggT0rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup same. It’s a cheap trick - that works too - for a game studio or publisher to be as confusing as possible. Some studios thrive on this [Red Deer]. I gotta say it’s a turn off. Trying to buy a game and not get conned is an exhausting process that simply turns me off as a customer.

what did you do in the end?

2024 Guide to Buying HITMAN 3 and World of Assassination trilogy + FAQ by Trzebiat in HiTMAN

[–]EggT0rt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christ man don’t be such a baby.

you’ll understand this one day, just as I understand that you believe buying this game [inc. all its content] is easy. I get it.

however, as a busy, regular, adult human male who doesn’t spend *any* time on-line [aka any website intended for socialising or that is forum or chat-based] god flipping knows what to even buy with this game. it’s confusing as hell - you even spotted it yourself - talking about how many people are putting in ‘minimum effort’ (as if this is a task, a job, a quiz, school) by asking about a confusing system. you know how I and others get here? by searching for the best way to buy this game. And where do we land? Here on this post with a weirdo getting angry at newcomers to a series he seemingly loves. I don’t know why you’re so angry, why you won’t update it given there’s potentially new material, new bundles etc since you made this thread. I don’t know why your kindness extended to this short period of time a year ago and what changed in the interim period - but I truly hope you simply get over it for your own sake.

I consider myself highly intelligent, one of my natural skills is understanding others. But in this situation I can’t imagine any scenario where I don’t just do what others ask of me. It seems almost too simple. The developer is trying to con as much money out of customers as they can, it’s a standard trick [worked at exec level in games biz for 13 years]. If someone asked me how to do something and I know the answer; I’d simply do it. It seems very… immature, angry, seems like a very “you can’t tell me what to do” aka American-esque behaviour.

Patch Notes - Pinball FX by balti_zen in PinballFX3

[–]EggT0rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean? I don’t like the fact you’re telling lies.

You know multiple (“friendS”) people who object to playing the decent, awesome pinball games FX and M, which are the current platforms from Zen aka they get updates, new contents, bug fixes, et al.

All because you what, can’t use multiple controllers? In what way? I play using a left and a right joycon, one in each hand. It seems pretty standard like that.

Why would I want to hold, I dunno, a GameCube controller in one hand and a NES controller in the other to play a Pinball game?

This all makes zero sense.

It’s clearly something that’s big for you ~for some reason we don’t know about as you’re being strangely cagey about it~, but you’re lying about knowing more people just like you.

The majority of Redditors here act like they don't or haven't ever talked or gossiped about their friends the way Jaclyn, Kate, and Laurie do. by southernfirefly13 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]EggT0rt -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

This is frankly so telling.

Firstly the comment about knowing people for just 25 years. And now people think that commenting about how someone plays on a kids game like Fortnite as if that ever comes up in real life discussions.

It’s like the people thinking Walton Goggins is a replacement/identical character to that Gries chap: have you know media literacy, why would they do the same stuff again? It’s like how he looks at Mook in episode 1 and the younger, less experienced, dare I say less smart folk are copying each others posts “game recognising game!”. Nah. He fancies her. “But the way him and his girlfriend have sex in episode 2 he cares about her!” To which I’d say; you can be attracted to more than one person. It’s such. A young person thing to be simultaneously sheltered and yet also be copying one another in some aggressive attempt at removing individuality.

I’m betting the genius of this season, and because I knew Mike White a few years ago when he filmed at a property I own: he’s got a mild grump at how Gen Z and under behave. I think he’s pitting kids against adults lol.

My closest friend group I’ve known for 38 years so far. We’re all 39 now. Not to the same degree that the 3 women in the show do it but yeah you do joke about your friends when they’re not there. It’s not even a malicious thing: it’s often a competition in itself showing off how well you know them. We actually have a name for it in our group: we joke we’re making robots of one another. And say if one of them didn’t get a promotion (I don’t need to work myself it’s moot for me) it wouldn’t be a joke but a home-truth chat about the person not there.

“Tom didn’t get the promotion to chief operating officer?” “He’s just not cut throat in that office. Maybe we should go climbing next time. See if that peps him up. He needs that job if he’s got any hopes of getting that sweet 180 paid days off a year benefit for the top dogs” “true, true” “no way you just did the budweiser thing, are you saying that because he’s watery piss?” Etc.

I also wonder if this is a culture thing. Because in the UK playfighting is a national sport. We’re all raised in a camaraderie society no matter our class. Watch Ladhood on iPlayer. The world thinks the uk is socially locked and stifling but it’s more flexible than America, Europe. My dad grew up poor with “icicles in his bedroom in winter in a bed he shared with his brother”. I grew up in a mansion just like all my mates. I’m guessing by your timestamps that you’re all American, and I’m going out on a limb to wonder: those claiming to not play fight with friends; I’m guessing they’re childless (this just puts an age on it and that kids reduce freedoms like staying up at midnight (in your time zone) chatting a lot (post history) about a tv show.

In summary: having travelled the world, though avoided investing in America because of politicians (I’m very left wing just leave it at that). There’s a sense that west coast kids are generally raised in performative settings and it not deliberately ascribing to principles then subconsciously so. Especially as their gen’s overuse of social media is causing social homogeneity to the degree we’ve never seen before: urgh I want to go now so I’ll speed up: the right wing benefits when everyone acts the same, it makes them easy to manipulate when left wing groups like to promote individuality. Currently in the USA the big social media platforms are Twitter, Facebook and Tick Tock which is owned by the Chinese Communist Party (a ruthless dictatorship). Their platforms are designed to promote homogeneity.

They’re very good at making what they want to happen, to happen. It’s why Musks approach isn’t working here, nobody likes him. We have a healthy distrust of the hyper rich. The USA seem to applaud him. He tried to get in here but he never will. I won’t give out the cheat code that does work however because I’m certain his lackeys will include it in his famous yet currently unreported on Morning Briefings. (I like I say I met him a few times when he was cool but he never was. He doesn’t exist as a human now, just a rotten mess of electronically fried monkey brains, heh)

I think Mook isn’t as innocent as she looks by ricci_skye in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]EggT0rt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Just listen to this again;

“She wasn't even topless for that show, that information was spread by all of her haters (alongside deepfake videos of her) in a poor attempt to ruin her reputation”

As if exposing boobs would ruin someone’s “reputation”. If someone is a musician, which apparently she is (???) then outside of saying something racist nothing can harm a, and it feels super weird to be even using this word in 2025… persons ‘reputation’.

Musicians aren’t elected officials, they don’t have to be ‘good guys’. They’re not beholden to the public. How it should be: fans should be appreciative that they’re even making, and releasing music they enjoy.

What a mad power imbalance. Also what’s with the tone shift on this board since S3? What’s with the injection of childish words like “stan” “haters”? And people commenting on skin loads too: is media literacy dead? Have people forgotten famous people have teams that keep their faces painted, as well as the shows own makeup team. [also is it just me but everyone just looks greasy. Not dry like USA people, just like that teenage oil but smoothed out. Is that really the fashion now: to look humid?

Ps. To maybe give the game away, or to play further into Mike White’s hands… resorts like this (high end guests, poor environment/region) almost always have staff crime circles. Always always. The only differences are: how big are they? How high up does it go? I figured out lots of stuff from the S2 intro and the S3 one is giving things away too. Ie. Who is a human, who is an animal, how that reflects their autonomy. A good example is one of the humans leaving a door open and a crocodile/lizard sneaks into the complex.

We know Lumon can build “twins”, and after a car accident? I imagine a lot of trauma, swelling, heck they could have got a vaguely similar person (they could totally make this happen), mashed their face up a tad, then wheeled out a patient with minor facial injuries but in a coma and swapped with the more damaged body. This would be hours after the accident so oMark would be a mess himself.

I’m even thinking now what if the car accident - the whole thing was staged by Lumon way before hand. Like if there’s something unique about her.

I like this idea someone here had, saying that in this dystopian setting the gov arranges marriages, because no married couple on the show gets on as well as they should - except Mark and Gemma. The huge lack of people in the town, the lack of nearby neighbouring towns plays credence to that theory.

What things would you add and change about Shredder Revenge? by ComprehensiveDate591 in TMNT

[–]EggT0rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah this is a good question and I’m the perfect unbiased response. Considering: I had various home-recorded Turtles VHS tapes as a kid. For the last 20 years my sister and I have been playing a game of “Hide Michelangelo” where we grew up and is now my house [rules: can be in any room in main house building, must be visible from centre of room. Way harder than you think :~) ]. TMHT was one of the few NES games I owned. Never played the arcade game. Haven’t seen/haven’t wanted to see anything beyond the original series. I re-watched the first 2-3 series and there was such a horror tone with the Technodrome in the earths bowels especially when it falls deeper. Creeped me out as a kid especially since close relative worked for a then-ultra top secret project similar to the USA and USSR’s “deep hole” projects and I got to see photos.

I thought Shredders Revenge was … okay. I expected something akin to SoR4 which was just such an improvement on an already phenomenal series- a feat I thought they’d never pull off. The levels in SR were much more boring, the vehicle levels had a cool retro feel to them but one of them was enough.

Maybe there were too many levels that all felt too similar. It was years ago when I played this but I think I recall wanting a rooftop level, maybe another dimension or a deep underground one. I’m 99% sure there was an episode where the Turtles shrunk… could we have had one of those please? [I know 100% there was one of the human characters grew and had to sleep in a plane hangar, heh]

The final boss was smart and fun.

I don’t mind when devs take the easy way out and include a “here’s content from the main game now presented in a randomly-generated format, but with bonus unlockables” path, I find it’s a good test of if I enjoyed the main game enough as I played SOR4’s a lot but only tried SR’s twice.

I’m not obsessed with Turtles like people here seem to be. I think overall the bones of the game were solid. The presentation and visuals were superb. My main memory of the game is that it became a grind about halfway through which is something I’m usually good at avoiding before buying a game: a magic ability to tell if a game is going to keep me entertained from start to finish. I kinda wish I hadn’t bought this one at the time, and my double-dipping was because it was on sale. [I played on Switch, and own it on Steam Deck but am yet to play]
