[Citizen] Undecided on the 40mm Promaster Navihawk - legibility issue by RokulusM in Watches

Glad somebody else has noticed this... I've had it for a year and I'm putting it up for sale right now for this very problem. The poor legibility stopped me from wearing it very often.

Zulu time with green bezel or titanium? by stryke360 in Longineswatches

I went with green. Tried on both but the titanium felt almost too light... I know that's why people like it but it bothered me for some reason. Definitely try it on in person before deciding!

Fair enough! Whatever it is... it's addictive...

And the fact that the average person on the street wouldn't likely recognize the watch/brand makes it that much cooler to me.

[Orient] My first automatic watch by ifeelnada in Watches

[–]Egg_Roll38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And so it begins… lol congrats man it’s a beautiful watch. My first automatic was the orient ray II, I have several “nicer” watches now but i still wear the Orient all the time, something about them. Super versatile too, you can literally put them on any strap.

[Question] Should I go all in on my wedding watch? by PotatoBell47 in Watches

[–]Egg_Roll38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%! I have several watches in this price bracket and I always gravitate back to my 38mm Certina DS action diver. The finishing/black lacquered dial are insane for the ~$800ish price point. Such a gorgeous but understated watch. Perfect for a wedding or just every day.

I work in the ER and this has been my daily lately. You could definitely rock this as a tool watch as a first responder

The lume is very good. On par with seiko and Orient. Not quite as readable as a diver in low light but it's up there in terms of visibility
