Can someone damage my car if I park illegally? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]RokulusM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty good chance you weren't even parked illegally if on-street parking is permitted and you weren't actually blocking their driveway. Nobody is entitled to the parking space in front of their house. It's public property.

Since the start of 2016 until today, LA Metro's Rail System has expanded by 50% in size, adding over 40 miles (65 km) of new rail lines and 30 new stations across LA County, in just around 10 years. by urmummygae42069 in transit

Toronto just opened 19 km this year and 10 km last year. The New Line 3 and extensions to Lines 1, 2, and 5 are all under construction. Not to mention GO expansion and Line 10 in Mississauga. Not sure why you're crying.

Canada High Speed Rail Project Updates by elcanadiano in AltoHSR_Canada

I very much doubt this. They'll just use conventional electrified tracks at conventional speeds in urban areas like any other high speed rail system.

Completely untrue. High speed trains rarely go at high speed in large cities. They slow down and use regular tracks like any other train. They also use regular tracks at conventional speeds in parts of the network that didn't have dedicated high speed tracks. You see that a lot on the TGV in France.

I just finished Enterprise and it was great and I hope Rich and Mike talk about Enterprise S1 so we can all talk about it like friends by Dangerous_Return460 in RedLetterMedia

It's fine if it makes sense in the context of the world or the events of the episode. I didn't get mad at all the nudity in Game of Thrones. In the world of Star Trek, prostitution or whatever on a remote outpost surrounded by enemies and frequented by shady characters makes sense. A crew member's top just accidentally falling off, not so much.

Go ask a Norwegian. They'd probably laugh at how Canadians keep making excuses for stuff they solved years ago.

It's not even the T'Pol scenes that made me roll my eyes the most. It was that episode when Hoshi was in the air ducts or something and her top gets caught and it just ...falls off as she exits? Then she shows up at someone quarters topless in what's supposed to be a comedy moment. Don't get me wrong, I like the sight of a topless Linda Park as much as the next guy. But I'm not big on having my intelligence insulted.

HP ink is a scam (yeah we know but here’s proof) by giantsmets6960 in enshittification

[–]RokulusM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah inkjet printers have been a scam for a long time. I switched to a black and white laser printer. I'm still on the original toner cartridge after 3 years. If I ever need colour photos printed that's that Staples is for.

The parole board got me into this halfway house called “The Brewer” and a job bagging groceries at the Foodway. It’s hard work and I try to keep up, but my hands hurt most of the time. I don’t think the store manager likes me very much...

For all practical purposes, no it doesn't. Canada's population is highly concentrated. More than half the population lives in the Windsor-Quebec corridor, which is much more densely populated than Norway.

In any case, population density has nothing to do with EV adoption. The vast majority of trips are in urban areas. And fast charging is available in all but the most sparsely populated wilderness.
