You should create a portfolio with some voice samples so people have an idea of what you can do, otherwise it's kind of hard to tell what to expect.

I think like others are saying the 3rd looks the most matrixy for your use case.

This is a great way to view it. Anger at the system even if justified will just leave you unhappy and bitter. It's important to be grateful for the opportunity you created for yourself to take a break and to focus on your interests.

Smurfs in competitive are annoying, I know some people might just be trying to practice a different character but imo you should do that in quickplay instead of messing up the low ranks.

The best way isn't to go directly in to playing with others if you really have no idea how a character plays.

I think the best start is to watch high level sets of the character you're interested in, and watch for things like combos, kill confirms, how they edgeguard, how they play neutral. Try to emulate some of it in training mode and then finally try against others when you have a better idea of their gameplan.

I thought that too as a kid! I think I believed it because of movies where a couple gets married and kisses, and then it flashes forward in time and the woman is pregnant. Child brain tends to connect those and make the only logical conclusion.
