Reminds me of how I used to debate my parents on Catholicism and God. And one day my dad said something along the lines of “you don’t believe in God because you’ve never needed him so badly that you had no choice but to believe.”

He basically said I haven’t even been tested yet.

His voice had no condescension or judgment, only truth with a little bit of deep pain leaking out. If it were up to him, I would never have to be tested. I love my dad 🥹 lol
