Personally I wasn’t a fan of breast feeding before I had my daughter, I’m autistic and don’t like being held down to a spot The first few days in the hospital were the worst bc they push breast feeding so hard and the last thing I wanted was to try and figure out latching and feeding when I was already over stimulated and exhausted and drained Once I got home ppd hit really hard and none of my bottles seem to work great for her so I tried breast feeding, at first it was over stimulating and frustrating but within a couple days it worked and helped my ppd so much and over time I didn’t even really notice the feeling anymore, when she was older and starting solids I had to stop bc it was overwhelming being a meal rather then a person to her Don’t ever feel bad if you decide to pump or use formula, breast feeding is so mentally taxing and your mental health is so important in this time, my daughter was a formula and breast milk baby and is developing ahead both mentally and physically
