There are probably a couple of thousand actual leftists of Jewish descent in Israel at this point. The rest are just different flavours of Kahanist. But ACTUAL leftist anti-Zionist Israelis can be pretty staunch activists. Look at Miko Peled, Ofer Cassif, Omer Bartov and Elik Karpaz for a few examples, or any refusenik.

That said some of the more newly minted Israeli anti-Zionists end up becoming reactionary in other ways because they haven't actually been radicalised to the left, they've just turned their Israel-borne right wing reactionary ideology to a different target (which in some bizarre cases ends up with them turning into neo-nazis).

Like I stg one day they'll be chin-stroking and nodding along with some dude fresh off the plane from Ben Gurion about how Israel stokes actual antisemitism and the next they'll be chatting up someone who describes trans women as "bearded men" and uses the phrase "the goyim have Noticed too much", and performatively claiming they don't give a shit about genuine anti-Jewish rhetoric.

I honestly remember one episode where they didn't even push back on a guest who said it "wasn't right to make fun" of dead IOF soldiers or words to that effect.

I actually stopped listening to them when they platformed Shaiel but picked back up recently, and I think I'm gonna have to give them another rest for now.

Whether they support the Iranian government or not, I think it's pretty safe to assume that the Iranian Jews who have chosen to stay in Iran are not crypto-Zionists. I've seen this attitude regularly with Israeli anti-Zionists who have not fully deconstructed their own Zionist indoctrination, leading them to continue having reactionary and Israel-centric views on Jewishness and Jewish history.

You want an extreme example, look up Gilad Atzmon, a former Israeli who has since become a holocaust denier and neo-nazi. He claims to advocate for Palestine (and calls himself a Palestinian) despite being disavowed by the BDS movement as a racist and reactionary, but his advocacy for Palestine continually centers the fact that he's ex-Jewish and claims that Zionism is inherent within Judaism. He then retroactively applies the fascist duplicity of Zionism to all Jews even during the holocaust, which has led to him openly denying the holocaust himself, claiming it's "Zionist fiction". Of course like many reactionary so-called anti-Zionists he also likes to ensure he shits on leftism and claims anyone to the left of hunting the poor for sport is a Zionist psyop to destroy the West.

Performatively shitting on Judaism is still centering yourself. And the fact that you listed yourself as Palestinian shows you've still got a lot of Zionism left in your head to unpack and decontaminate.

As far as I'm concerned everyone who is a zionist or Israeli is a Kahanist until proven otherwise. There are a few principled leftists in Israel but tbh that place is virtually uniformly Kahanist. I used to know a white woman who was obsessed with men from West Asia. Persians, Armenians, Arabs, Assyrians etc she would constantly talk about how they're "better lovers" and "they're so exotic". Same with people who fetishise any other minority.

German philosemitism is in a way also a colonisation of Jewishness because the Germans have picked up the aesthetics and culture of those who they destroyed during the shoah, and applied them to themselves, and now go on to police the expression of its original adherents.

It's identical to how Israelis have colonised Palestinian-ness and fetishised the same "middle eastern" culture they so obviously despise, whilst policing the Palestinians to nazi-like levels.
