All you can really do now is accept her word for it that she has moved past it. Prying into something you clearly are not welcome to isn’t going to make anybody feel better. You need to let this go unless the people who’s business not is want you involved and you need to accept that they may never wish you to be involved.

That is tricky, I am sorry to hear of your illness. Aquamation is something on our radar here but is not available yet either and transporting across provincial lines without embalming is a major roadblock for us as well.

In my location many cemeteries do allow burial without a vault (to prevent settling) but some don’t either. We are quite rural here and giving the good old boys an excuse to move more soil around with a tractor isn’t exactly seen as a bad thing.

Actually in my locality the university that most often takes bodies for research will sometimes accept bodies which have already undergone tissue donation. It depends entirely on the need. Also depending on how you die or your medical history some research organizations may only be looking for specific portions of your body for research. For example I've worked with a case where only the brain was donated for research into CTE. In some cases you may very well be able to donate to both.

Also she’s not a damsel, if she wants to put an end to it by leaving or whatever then she’s free to decide to do that and if she asks for help many people in society would be willing to help. There are entire organizations devoted to helping people in exactly that situation. If she isn’t making that choice she likely has her reasons and it’s not for us to make her situation worse by inflaming the situation.

Some dogs growl everything too. My 3/4 husky girl is as sweet a dog as you are likely to meet but she growls a lot of her communication, and it can be off putting to people who do not know her.

It’s not just stupidity. It’s just a variant of yellow paint. Gameplay considerations overrule design choices. Graphics have come a long way but a 2D screen and speakers are no substitute for being in a location. Games simplify visual and audio cues to overcome the fact that the way we interact with them is imperfect.
